Vertical Kampung in Senayan with continuous vertical street and public space as a connection. In addition, the ramp that connects between two floors arranged in order to cross the space (between two different common space). This atmosphere also found in Kampung such as alley and shortcut that people use as functional space. This project tries to make the horizontal kampung become vertical with the keyword “elevate and cross” according to the privacy and publicness of the space in the kampung. The space that people usually do their “common activities” also used as protection. Basically, kampung has much public space to protect their space from outsider and newcomers. With this public space as connection and functional space for “common activities”, people also will get the opportunity (especially economic aspect) with the outsider without interfering their privacy. In the big scale, this kampung not only maintains their system (kampung) but provide activities in the city as well. With crossing the space, crossing the time, people will enjoy a whole Senayan Vertical Living.

HUMAN-NATURE

RELATIONSHIP

THE CONCEPT Setu Rawa Besar eco-city masterplan responds to the issue with managing three integrated approaches base on considerations on the positive characteristics of Setu Rawa Besar. First, reuse the grey water produced by the neighborhood. Secondly, manage the solid waste. Lastly relocate the slums into a vertical-living estate. Since it decided to focus on three problems, we tried to simplify them by grouping them together based on the issues, which are environmental and social. The water treatment and the waste management are used to respond to the environmental problems, while the relocation issue is used to respond to the social problems..
