Trident EU-ramp The modular system that covers the whole distance
One modular system, a thousand solutions
Trident’s EU ramp is one of the safest on the market. The modular system is incredibly flexible and easy to store. Thanks to smart, patented features and an impressively wide range, you can combine the modules in thousands of different ways.
Easily adapted to your home
The EU ramp is one of a small number of ramps that meets all the requirements of the Swedish National Board of Housing, Building and Planning’s (Boverket) regulations for housing adaptation. Our ramps and landings take you right up to your door, and the system’s large design can be fitted over existing stairs. 2
Ideal for public environments
The EU ramp meets all the design requirements for environments with strict requirements, such as schools and sports centres. The ramp can also be supplemented as needed with Trident’s modular entrance and evacuation stairs for two floors.
The best ramp for those with the greatest needs
The EU ramp is one of the most stable on the market, and it is very quiet when used. Our modular system has been adapted to the new Eurocodes. The steel construction makes the ramp three times more stable than an equivalent aluminium one. Mesh walkways provide the best slip resistance possible, even during winter.
Flexible standard modules
Trident’s wide range of flexible modules gives you great choice for the design of your ramp. Although most solutions can be catered for using our standard modules, we can also manufacture a specialised solution for you at our factory in Ängelholm as necessary. Since Trident controls its own manufacturing and warehousing, we can often deliver standard modules within a few days.
Reusability is smart
All modules are reusable and with no deterioration in quality. For example, a four-step stair can be turned into two two-step stairs or can have another step added to make a five-step stair. This is sustainable, both financially and environmentally.

Developed with unique features
We have put a lot of effort into developing a modular ramp that combines optimal safety and usability with flexible project planning, ordering, storage and assembly. Many of the EU ramp’s components are patented or have industrial design protection, and all modules can be disassembled and reused.

1 – Flexible stairs
Trident’s stairs are made from modules. For example, from the four-step stair, you can build two two-step stairs or add another step to make a five-step stair. It is highly flexible.
2 – Guardrails for platform
Guardrails are simple to install, without any screws or rivets. It really couldn’t be easier.
4
3 – Spacious entry platform
Let the ramp go right up to your door. Complete with an entry landing big enough to easily open and close the door, even if the user has a wheelchair or a walker.
4 – Guardrails for ramps
The slip-resistant walkways are delivered with integrated guardrails.
7
8 5 – Telescopic support legs
You can easily adjust the height of the landing and ramp with adjustable support legs. This is a flexible solution when it comes to ordering, storing, assembling and reusing the modules.
6 – Ergonomic handrail
Trident’s patented Ergosoft handrail is round and square at the same time to fit your hand as well as possible.
7 – Slip-resistant walkways
Expanded metal provides a quiet, safe, stable and highly slip-resistant surface to walk on. The material also lets rainfall pass through it.
8 – Pole attachment with pre-assembled nuts The nuts for pole attachments are already in place at the point of delivery. It saves time and makes assembly simpler.

A wide range of standard modules
Trident’s EU ramp can be used for heights of up to 1.4 metres with standard products.
Ramps for all environments
Trident’s standard ramps come in three lengths and three widths. The wide ramps are suited to public buildings, blocks of flats and similar structures. The smallest are best suited to private homes.
Right up to your door
Standard length: 1,4 m 1,9 m 2,3 m
Standard width: 0,9 m 1,3 m 1,5 m
We are not content with making a ramp that just goes up the stairs; you deserve to have a solution with a platform that goes right up to your door. With Trident’s flexible modular system, you can always find the best solution, even from a financial perspective.

Flexible platforms
The EU ramp’s platforms come in five standard sizes (1,1 m x 1,1 m, 1,1 m x 1,5 m, 1,5 m x 1,5 m, 1,5 m x 1,9 m and 1,9 m x 1,9 m) and works just as well as an entry platform, rest point, or stair platform. All platforms have an outer width of 1,1, 1,5 or 1,9 m and can be put together to make larger units. The range also includes landing wedges at 20 or 40-degree angles. The moveable guardrails are simple to put together, without any screws or rivets.

Keep your original stairs
The large platforms in sizes 1,5 m x 1,5 m and 1,5 m x 1,9 m, have a uniquely designed edge that means the platforn can be fitted over an existing staircase. This means that the stairs do not need to be removed as the new ramp and platform can attach directly to the door threshold.

Railings for all needs
There are three different kinds of railings (railing 2, 3 and 4) as standard. The standard height of the railing is 900mm, the alternative height is 1100mm. The rail modules’ vertical openings are 100mm wide, and so they also meet current child safety requirements. At low heights, you can build without railings or just on one side.
Ergonomic handrails provide the best grip All of Trident’s railings have specially produced ergonomic handrails, Ergosoft, for the best and most comfortable grip. The handrails are always installed without interruption.

A superior material More stable structure thanks to steel
Steel is superior to wood, plastic and other metals when it comes to strength and stability in relation to price. For example, a steel ramp is three times more stable than an equivalent aluminium one. This makes for a noticeable difference for those with balance issues or reduced motor functions. All components - frames, surfaces and railings - should be made of steel for the greatest stability.
Slip resistance in all seasons ...
There is no better material than expanded metal that provides a high level of slip resistance for outdoor environments. The expanded metal’s surface also provides good grip when it is wet or icy. Ice struggles to stick and comes loose easily when you step on it. We use expanded metal for the EU ramp made from hot-dip galvanized steel, which is an environmentally friendly and practically maintenance-free material. The first requirement for a slip-resistant ramp is that rainfall should not remain on the surfaces; the second is that the surface’s form should provide friction. Even here, a surface made of expanded metal is superior to wood and floor grating, which provide poor grip for many types of shoes. The expanded
metal even outclasses perforated sheet metal and extruded aluminium, where too little of the surface lets rainfall pass through.
... regardless of shoe choice or age
It can be a challenge to walk in high heels on a surface that has large holes to let snow pass through. Trident’s wide ramps and associated landings and stairs can therefore be supplied as both standard expanded metal and HHP, which is a specialised expanded metal with much smaller holes. Despite this, HHP is much more slip resistant thanks to the surface’s specialised design. HHP is also good for preschools, for example, as the denser material reduces the risk of children injuring themselves if they fall off.

We’ll help you all the way
Ordering an EU ramp is simple and flexible – from project design to assembly. For a successful result, Trident can help you with the project design of the ramp.
Trident are experts in ramps
The greatest benefit for the customer and the user is that Trident knows the regulations and what works, such as how the ramp can be adapted to the circumstances present at each individual location. Beyond knowledge and experience, Trident also has the ambition that structures should be simple to put together, which helps to ensure that the ramp is correctly assembled and is therefore also useful to the end consumer. The customer only needs to send information on the height and some pictures of the building or the stairs that need a ramp. From this information, Trident will put together a proposal and a quote for the customer along with a 3D image of what it will look like.
