Kush refers to a subset of strains of cannabis indica. The origins of Kush cannabis are from landrace plants mainly in Afghanistan, but are also from Iran, Pakistan, and Northern India,[1] with the name coming from the Hindu Kush mountain range. “Hindu Kush strains of cannabis were brought to the United States in the mid-to-late 1970s and continue to be available there to the present day. Mid grade weed is a Mexican sativa that does not produce large amounts of thc. It also may or may not contain seeds and stems. It is easy to grow and very inexpensive. Purple Haze is a specific vividly purple strain of cannabis. The original strain is extinct. It was originally used to describe a type of LSD sold on purple blotter paper. How long have you been rapping Weezo? I’ve been rapping since I was eight or nine years old. I still have Cd’s from when I was 15 years old. I have proof that I’ve been doing it forever.
Where did you get the name Weezo from?
Really, the name was given from the streets because I know how to get out of situations. Do you rap about real life experiences? Of course I do. Why would I not? When I talk to people, I’m trying to touch them. I’m not just trying to tell them something and convince them this is what is going on; when I never actually walked through it. I was shot when I was 17. Bullets in and out my body. I was in prison when I was 18, got out after three years, went back and did three more years. I’m not just rapping this shit, I’m living it. Do you write your own lyrics? I write my own and for other people. I got a song called “Love Me Crazy” with T-Slimm. I’m out the box with it. I can’t paint a picture for anybody. What makes you different from the other artists out here in the streets? My ambition and my drive. These niggas ain’t nothing like me. What makes me different is how I deliver. Everytime I speak they listen to me because I grab their attention. It’s alot of bullshit music that people been listenting to. I’m giving then what’s real. What do you bring different to the table? I’m bringing creativity. I make you rap my lyrics and get into it.
open mic, do you thing they give rappers a fair chance? Hell no! I was the best new artist in 2010, but I never won anything. I think it’s rigged. The same people keep winning. It’s other people who have talent.
What do you think the rap game is missing? The rap game is missing niggas from
Savannah. To be specific, the rap game is missing me, ya feel me. I’m going to get there. I respect this city and nobody coming harder than me period.
Where can people find your music or videos? In the streets and from me. I walk up
to niggas and sell cd’s for five dollars and they buy it. Don’t be surprised if I walk up to you and start rapping and convince you I’m worth your five dollars. It’s real. Do you have myspace? I have a myspace and facebook. Get at me!
There are many rappers not living what they rap about. How do you feel about that? I feel
they need to stay in their own lane and don’t try to collab with a real nigga and they on some phoney shit. A nigga going to peep that and he not going to mess with you. I ain’t never had shit living in a four bedroom house in Westgate. Me and my grandma and seven more people. Straight up!
How do you feel about the rappers in Savannah?
I feel like alot of these niggas slackin. They playing with this music shit. You have to be serious. It’s a few niggas I respect throughout the city who got real talent, but the rest of there niggas ain’t talking about nothing.
What about the clubs who hold lip sync or

Most rap songs have somebody on it singing a killer hook. T-Simm is that dude everybody seeks when it comes to singing. Every song that he blesses with his voice is sure to be a hit. He is a rapper, singer, producer, writer, engineer, and he is still independent. Many major record labels have approached him, but T-Slimm has decided to stay indepent unitl the right deal comes along.
Tat Money has been very busy these days. With producing and directing a made for video television series cleverly named after the county he has grown to love,” Cheatum County”. Tat Money has been blowing up the club scene with hits such as, “Fuck the Law”, a song dedicated to his slain label mate Mr. Ruffles (RIP), also know as Larry “Scooter” Walls. His new dance craze “Do the Danielson” is a show stopper wherever it spins, and “All Blue Evertything”, a remake of Jeezy’s “All White Everything”, causes chaos and mayhem. This rap mogul is a force to reckon with when it comes to music , writing, directing, and dancing. GED/Realizm Entertainment

JANUARY/FEBRUARY 2011
How did your career begin? I’d gone to school with the members, and had always rapped. We were entering talents shows and local showcases around Atlanta when we were discovered. What makes your music different from other female artists? -- My music is different because I am a different person, and with different experiences that have made up my short life thus far. I’m unique, so my music has no choice but to be a reflection of that. Did the group have a manager when you formed? No we didnt What made you finally decide to leave Crime Mobb? When I left Crime Mobb the group was at a crossroads where we wanted different things. At the end of the day it was a business decision, and I had to do what was best for me. Are you happy with your decision? I’m very happy with my decision. I don’t believe in regret, or waste time doing it. Life is a journey, and I’m excited for the adventure. Most independent don’t have managers, do you suggest they get one? Well it depends are where you are in your career. I’d suggest that any artist get a team, because you do need one to advance, but in the same breath don’t just jump into a situation just for the sake of having one. A great manager is someone who is excited to work with their client, as the client is to have them. Until that person finds you, or you find them I’d suggest that any artist grinds it out. Handle your own promotion, marketing, PR, and booking until you’re in a position to hire people to handle it. Plus doing it yourself will teach you a lot about the business, and you’ll be able to pick out the right professionals to handle your career. Independent artists are finding it difficult to get signed, was it difficult for you? The climate has definitely changed, and labels are looking for a lot more from a proposed artist. Getting signed shouldn’t be the goal of an artist. The artist should focus on making good music, and then making sure it gets to the masses. If an artist takes over their city, the labels will come along. What advice would you give to independent artists that have been in the game for quite some time? If its what you love, keep pushing. I’d advise them to look at their team and overall plan to identify what can be tweeked to be more effi-
cient, and yield better results. Do you think local rappers should reduce to doing lip sync shows instead of live shows to get their music heard? not live. lip synced shows can kill the energy of a performance, and doesn’t allow for your to improvise. What is the process of getting a live show booked? To book me you contact my booking agent with the info about the show, and based on the info and market, she gives them a rate. The contract is sent, deposit paid, travel is booked, and I’m booked. Do you think it is better to be signed to a label or stay independent? Being signed vs. indie varies from situation to situation. If you’re an established artist with a strong fan base, being signed may not mean much for your bottom line. Thats why you see a lot of well known artist opting to independent status. Are the opportunities better for an independent artist in Atlanta or does it matter? I’d say it doesn’t matter. Being signed doesn’t guarantee you anything, not even a record being released. Would you do anything different form when you began? -- No, because without the lessons, I wouldn’t be where or who I am today. Remember, no regrets. What label are you signed to now? I’m signed to Battery/Jive Do you have any future projects, such as tours or new albums in the near future? Actually quite a bit of both, but its too early to discuss. I do have the video coming up for Lotta Money (remix) in the coming month, and new singles being released. Be sure to follow me on twitter @DiamondAtl for my latest.

How long were you in the rap game? Ever since my first year in middle school. How did you come up with your rap name Bloodshot? My eyes are bloodshot red and my reflection becomes clear. Do you rap about real life experiences? Most definitely Do you write your own lyrics? Yeah, I write all of my own lyrics What makes you different from the other artists out here in the streets? First of all, I speak knowledge into the minds of the youths, as well as speaking the truth. My God given tongue twisted lyrical talent. There are so many people trying to be rappers; what are you bringing new to the game? Basically, I am bringing a whole new perceptive to the game. My objective is to modify the membrane of the simple minded. There are many rappers not living what the rap about. What is your intake on that? That’s what I call an illusion. How do you feel about local rappers? They need to unite Where can people find out more about you and your music? They can find me on facebook and Reverbnation. Bloodshot!

LIL G What’s up Lil G, How did you get started with Deejaying? Well actually I started out radio deejaying in Carrollton Georgia West Georgia College. A friend of mine was a dj at the school radio station there. And he used to take me up there every Wednesday nights, they call it Wicked Wednesdays. So we went out there Wednesday nights and just hung out when he was on the air. Matter of fact, he might have been the first one to interview Outkast before they made it big. I’ve been with e93 for about 12 years now. Of course I got started way before then. You do the math. Who all have you met? Wow. Well were here in my office, and everybody I’ve met is hanging up. We got Trey Songz, Soul Child, Common, Jadakiss, and Mariah Carey. I met a lot of people. The list goes on. Lil’ G’s Office is tight. (Laughs) yeah Reebok sent me a shoe, and put my name on the back of it. And I got a lot of thank you notes from people since I host shows and things like that. What is your job here at E93? Actually I’m a program director, as well as the night junk. So I’m here every morning at 8:30 and its 6:15 and I’m still here. Since I’m the program director, I have a lot more to do than just be on the radio. So what all do you do? I mean, I schedule the music you hear throughout the day. I personally put it in one by one. All the images you hear, I produce those and put those in. I decide what songs we put on the radio station and what songs we don’t put on the radio station and what time they play and what time they won’t play. Ever4ything that goes on with E93; promotions, everything we do in the community, everywhere we are, I do that. Everybody thinks I just get on the radio at 6 and get off at ten, but I’m here all day. I’m kind of behind the scenes on all the things that go on. Everybody thinks when I’m at the event all I do is host it. Sometimes I put those events together. I have to make sure they go right. Why do they play the same songs over and over again? It makes people tired of hearing the same thing. What we do is take the top 30 songs in the country. We take those from the billboards. And everybody takes the same billboard to schedule their music. And we take those songs and find out what the people want to
JANUARY/FEBRUARY 2011
hear. We don’t want to play songs just from people in Savannah. We have to play things everybody wants to hear. That’s what we do and yeah sometimes the songs will play a little more than we would like them to, but by research those are the songs people want to hear more. I was in Atlanta, and it seems like the cities up North get the songs first. It was a time where they did get them first. Now they are playing our music up North. It started in New York and works its way down. To be honest with you, a lot of artists who have songs out had those songs out for a long time. You know, you are just hearing it. By the time it hits the radio, its old to them. So you’re just a busy man. Is there anything else you do, like the club scenes? I’m a dj, program director; I also air in Myrtle Beach. I’m on the radio in South Carolina. So I travel a lot too. I’m pretty busy. So are you single? because everybody loves Lil G.? (Laughs) No, I’m not single. I have a wife and two kids. So for anybody who wants to be a dj what do they need to do? Go to school. They need to get that education. I can’t stress enough to go to school.

Where they do that at? BEWARE OF ONLINE DATING Last month my girl called and suggested that I online date, due to the recent failed blind date I had experienced. I was skeptical at first. After reading a Jet magazine, I saw that three out of the five couples met online. So I gave it a shot and signed up on POF (plentyoffish.com). The first guy sent me an instant message. He wanted to know my real name immediately. After I questioned him he asked me to post pictures of my T&A. I deleted him instantly. The next guy had no information posted. I thought he was being cautious so I spent a couple of days asking him questions about his personal life. Within a month I found that he was fired for sexually molesting a mentally challenged child. I deleted my account and stopped communicating with him simultaneously. There were so many red flags now that I look back. However, I am thankful that I was not desperate but cautious enough
not to actually date this guy or give him my personal information. In November, a man from Jacksonville, FL was arrested after he murdered two women from Lake City, FL.
