The Five Rules of Good Sexual Communication By Javon64 This month I had quite a time trying to come up with a fitting article that would wrap the whole year up and take us out with a bang. That‘s because when I write an article, my hope is that it will reach at least one reader on a deeper, more spiritual level and better their relationship in the areas that need it most. To do that, I sometimes mull over the past months and years of articles that I‘ve written until something hits me like a two ton truck. The reason I chose Sexual Communication for my article is simply because, without effective sexual communication, the average relationship doesn‘t stand a chance in hell of going the distance. Need I say more?

Rule 1: Don’t lie to yourself- Rule one is probably thy most important rule to remember, however three out of four people probably break this rule on a continuing basis. Keep in mind that what I‘m referring to when I say ‗don‘t lie to yourself‘ pertains to what you do and don‘t like or want in the bedroom. For women it could be wanting your man to call you nasty sluts or dirty little bitches behind closed doors, and for men it could be something like having your woman play with your asshole with her finger while she‘s performing oral or when the two of you are having sex. The point I‘m making is that regardless how kinky the sex is the sooner you admit to yourself that this is what I want, need and like the sooner the sex between you and yours can go to the next level. So many times, because of society and its closedminded definition of what sex should be, people suppress their sexual desires in hopes that they will fade with time, though they never do. Instead, what happens is the complete opposite—they magnify and cause some people to go outside their relationships for the type of sex they‘re not getting at home.

Rule 2: Always strive to have an open mind- I‘m going to go out on a limb here and say that one or maybe even both people involved has a secret fetish or strong desire to try something in the bedroom that their partner is oblivious to. The reason for the secrecy is because in most relationships someone is usually more open to trying new things in the bedroom than their partner. Even in those relationships where both people are pretty much on the same page someone probably has one kinky act that they are hesitate about admitting. This is why it is crucial to the survival of ones relationship that both people have an open mind. Having an open mind doesn‘t necessarily mean trying each and every act that your partner wants to try—however it does mean having an open enough mind that your partner isn‘t afraid to discuss their fetish with you without worrying about what you may think of them afterwards.

Rule 3: Pay attention in the bedroom- People would be surprised if they knew how many couples in relationships, and otherwise, just go through the motions of sex without paying attention to what their partners actually likes and doesn‘t like. In my opinion being in tune with what gets your partner off in the bedroom just goes hand and hand with a good relationship…and good sexual communication. For those of you that might not be too sure what truly gets your partner off, there‘s no harm in asking, before…or even during the act of getting your freak on. There‘s also nothing wrong on your part with giving a little guidance during sex, either—as long as you avoid sounding like a Drill Sergeant. In fact talking out the sexual act along with heated, approving OOOS and AAHS while getting it on is one of the hottest turnon‘s there is. Don‘t believe me? Try it.

Rule 4: Talk about the sex afterwards- What a lot of couples fail to realize is that just because they may not have sex as often as they like that still shouldn‘t stop them from talking about the hottest sex they had in the past. In most cases taking a trip down memory lane, even if it those memories are only day‘s old, reaffirms to one another that the sex shared at that time was just the sex that the doctor ordered. Talking about the sex also does wonders for one another‘s bedroom self-esteem because believe it or not, more people in relationships are a little self-conscious about whether not they are satisfying their partner. So you see, if for no other reason than to boost your partner‘s confidence, this is why it‘s so important to be open and honest about your partner‘s performance—even if there‘s tactful suggestions to improve their performance.

Rule 5: Never assume- Rule five sums up the rest of this article perfectly, simply because assumptions in sexual relationships are the number one reasons couples find themselves stuck in a monotony rut. It‘s usually after two people have been together for a good number of months/years that assumptions about sex start to peek their ugly little heads out. Hell, no doubt all of you reading this article right this moment thinks that you know your partner well enough to know what they wouldn‘t try in the bedroom, am I right? Well the truth is, while some of you might be right on the money about some things, chances are your jaw would surely drop if you knew some of the things your partner would consider. The thing is circumstances play a most critical role in relationships when it comes to experimentation. This is why more women and men are more apt to try new things while intoxicated vs. sober. I‘m sure we‘re all grown enough to know and understand that your drunk ass husband wanting you to shove a 10-inch dildo up his ass has nothing to do with him being shit-faced and more to do with a deep down curiosity. Therefore before you go slamming and boarding up that door of possibility that your partner wouldn‘t be down to try something new with you in the bedroom remember Rule 5 to good sexual communication and don‘t assume that they won‘t try it.

And if all else fails…just invest in some vodka and get ‗em drunk. lol

Many people are confronted with the issue of having to take antidepressants and lack of libido and for many of them their embarrassment keeps them from seeking help, asking questions, and or plain ole‘ getting informed. I know, I‘m one of them, but I had to learn not to be embarrassed and get myself informed and ask questions. It isn‘t easy but definitely a must. The complaints are common. More than half the people who take antidepressants develop sexual problems, prior studies have found, especially for people taking Prozac, Paxil, Celexa, and other drugs that work by increasing the chemical serotonin in the brain. Serotonin is thought to slow down orgasm, perhaps by diminishing the release of another brain chemical, dopamine. Viagra increases blood flow to sex organs.

In my research I came across some women who have been taking the drug Viagra, which is a popular men‘s pill to help ease sexual side effects, but it hasn‘t come without side effects. One research involving 98 premenopausal women found Viagra helped with orgasm. But the benefits did not extend to other aspects of sex such as desire. Antidepressants can interfere with sex drive and performance even as the drugs help lift crippling depression. Switching drugs or reducing the dose can help. But many people, men and women, stop taking them because of their sexual side effects. It's "worrisome" though that 43 percent of the women on Viagra experienced headaches, compared to 27 percent of the women on dummy pills. Indigestion and reddening of skin (flushing) also were reported more often by the women taking Viagra. So it raises the question: Is it worth it?" While researching I came across this article that was literally written a few days ago, and thought what better way to share than to share something that was written just about a week ago. I hope that those whom are experiencing these problems find some sort of relief here within the article or at the very least are pointed in

Antidepressants may damage more sex lives By Carey Goldberg Globe Staff / December 15, 2008

Such sexual symptoms have long been known side effects of the popular Prozac class of antidepressants, but a growing body of research suggests that they are far more common than previously thought, perhaps affecting half or more of patients. And a handful of recent medical and psychological journal articles document a small number of cases in which sexual problems remain even after a patient goes off the drugs. "This is such an upsetting issue," said Aline Zoldbrod, a Lexington psychologist and sex therapist. "There are people for whom SSRIs are really life-saving, I think, but the idea that someone would have to choose between getting out of the darkness of depression and having a good sex life is horrible." Current warnings on the labels of selective serotonin SSRIs, cite early studies in which the prevalence of lower: 4 percent for Prozac, for example, and ranging Paxil.

Balon and other researchers agree that the issue is complex and the science imperfect: Mental illness can often impair sexuality, and the studies on SSRI-related sexual dysfunction have been small. "The [pharmaceutical] industry, understandably, has no interest in funding this," Balon noted. But methods for detecting sexual side effects have improved. Researchers have found that asking patients about the sexual effects directly - As in asking, "Have you been having trouble reaching orgasm?" - instead of waiting for spontaneous complaints yields a major increase in reports. And a wide variety of studies point toward higher prevalence, they say - including some involving people free of underlying illness that could explain the symptoms. Such cases are called PSSD, for post-SSRI sexual dysfunction, and if borne out, those effects threaten to make the clinical dilemma around SSRIs sharper. In the past two or three years, scattered published case reports from around the country have described patients whose sexual symptoms failed to resolve after going off antidepressants. Dr. Robert P. Kauffman, chair of obstetrics and gynecology at Texas Tech University, has published accounts of three cases in his practice. "It's probably a small number of men and women," he said, "but I really think it deserves investigation." Psychologist Audrey Bahrick at the University of Iowa said she became concerned when she observed that several clients whom she followed went off SSRIs and "very, very credibly to me, they did not recover" sexually. Among their symptoms, she said, were "telltale signs" of SSRI-caused dysfunction, unrelated to the known effects of mental illness. They had "pleasureless orgasms," and "genital anesthesia," in which sex feels no more intense than a handshake. She became particularly concerned about adolescents put on antidepressants, whose sexuality might never have a chance to develop normally. Bahrick began to explore. 1. Billie Holiday: ‗God Bless The Child‘ Billie Holiday was born Eleanora Fagan in Baltimore, Maryland on April 7 1915, and passed away, aged 44, on July 17, 1959. There are few jazz singers with such a distinctive voice. She was spotted in 1933 by talent scout John Hammond, the man who also signed Aretha Franklin and Bob Dylan. She made her first recordings later that year. ‗God Bless The Child‘ was recorded in 1941.

2. Whitney Houston: ‗Exhale‘ Whitney Elizabeth Houston was born on August 9, 1963 in Newark, New Jersey. She is the fourth best-selling female artist of all time. Her mum is Cissy Houston, her auntie is Dionne Warwick and her godmother is Aretha Franklin. She got signed to Arista Records in 1983 and had already won her first Grammy by 1986. Her debut album sold 24 million copies worldwide and spent 164 weeks on the album chart. She got married to Bobby Brown in 1992, despite numerous rumours of her batting for the other side. She‘s also an actress and ‗Exhale‘ is taken from the soundtrack of the 1995 film ‗Waiting To Exhale‘.

3. Hall & Oates: ‗I Can‘t Go For That‘ Daryl Hall and John Oates first met in Philadelphia in 1967. At the time, they were both in different bands, but came together as a duo two years later. Their early songs were so soulful; they almost became the resident songwriters at

Philadelphia International Records before Gamble & Huff, but the wanted to be an act in their own right. Following three albums on Atlantic (during which they recorded the stunning ‗She‘s Gone‘), they signed to RCA and began having big hits! ‗I Can‘t Go For That ‘ – released in 1981 – peaked at No. 1 in the American R&B charts, and was later brilliantly sampled by De La Soul in their worldwide smash ‗Say No Go‘.

4. Jennifer Holliday: ‗And I‘m Telling You I‘m Not Going‘ Jennifer Yvette Holliday was born on October 19 1960 in Riverside, Texas. Aged 19, Jennifer landed her first Broadway role in ‗Your Arms Too Short To Box With God‘. Following the critical acclaim of that, she landed the role of Effie Melody White in ‗Dreamgirls‘, and her version of ‗And I‘m Telling You I‘m Not Going‘ brought the house down every single night. She signed a solo deal in 1983 but never really hit the heights of that memorable performance. Jennifer‘s most recent recording was a contribution to the soundtrack of Tyler Perry‘s 2007 film ‗Why Did I Get Married?‘

5. Heatwave: ‗Razzle Dazzle‘ Heatwave were two Americans, two Brits, one Jamaican, one Spaniard and a drummer from Czechoslovakia. They formed in the UK in the mid-seventies and paved the way for many UK acts to follow. They achieved 6 Top 20 hits in the UK, and 5 Top 40 hits in America. ‗Boogie Nights‘ peaked at No. 2 in both the UK and US pop charts. Keyboardist Rod Temperton would later go on to write hits for Herbie Hancock, Quincy Jones, Rufus, The Brothers Johnson and Michael Jackson, including ‗Thriller‘. ‗Razzle Dazzle‘ is taken from their 1979 album ‗Hot Property‘.

6. Isaac Hayes: ‗Theme From Shaft‘ Isaac Lee Hayes Jr. was born on August 20, 1942 in Covington, Tennessee. He was one of main writers at Stax Records, writing hits for Sam & Dave and Carla Thomas. He eventually released his debut solo album in 1967 and began writing scores for films soon after. His theme for the pioneering movie ‗Shaft‘ became a worldwide hit single in 1971. He then became an actor and notched up appearances in films such ‗Escape From New York‘, ‗CB4‘ and ‗Robin Hood: Men In Tights‘. In 1997, he became the voice of ‗Chef‘ on ‗South Park‘ and, as Chef, had a No.1 hit single in the UK with a song called ‗Chocolate Salty Balls‘.

7. Lauryn Hill: ‗Every Ghetto, Every City‘ Lauryn Noel Hill was born on May 25th, 1975 in South Orange, New Jersey. In 1993, she starred in ‗Sister Act 2‘ with Whoopi Goldberg and, in 1994, hooked up with Wyclef Jean and Pras Michel to form The Fugees. Their second album ‗The Score‘, featuring ‗Killing Me Softly‘, won the Grammy for ‗Best Rap Album‘. Also in 1996, Lauryn started dating Bob‘s son Rohan Marley. They now have five children together. Lauryn‘s debut solo album ‗The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill‘ won the Grammy for ‗Best R&B Album‘ in 1998, and ‗Every Ghetto, Every City‘ is my favourite track from that set. In recent years, Lauryn‘s solo material has not fared so well.

8. Donny Hathaway: ‗The Ghetto‘ Donny was born in Chicago on October 1st 1945 and was sadly taken from us at the age of 33. He signed to Atlantic Records in 1969 and his very first single was the epic ‗The Ghetto‘. His collaboration with Roberta Flack ‗Where Is The Love?‘ earned him a Grammy Award, and both that song and ‗The Closer I Get To You‘ reached No.1 in the R&B chart. Unfortunately, Donny was prone to severe bouts of depression and committed suicide on January 13th 1979. Fortunately, he left behind his daughter Lalah Hathaway and a catalogue of great music.

Phyllis Hyman: ‗You Know How To Love Me‘

The gorgeous Phyllis Hyman was born in Philadelphia on July 6th 1949. Moving to New York, she was spotted singing in a club by Norman Connors, who asked her to guest on his ‗You Are My Starship‘ album. Her first solo album was released in 1977, but things really took off with her fourth album ‗You Know How To Love Me‘ in 1979. It got even better in 1981, when she performed a duet with Michael Henderson on the title track of her next album, ‗Can‘t We Fall In Love Again?‘ Phyllis also enjoyed a successful career as the star of Broadway musicals but, like Donny Hathaway, suffered from depression and, aged 45, Phyllis Hyman committed suicide. Twilight: Directed by: Catherine Hardwicke Genres: Action & Adventure, Romance, Mystery & Suspense, Drama Starring: Kirsten Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, Cam Gigandet

Another much loved book series has been brought to life in the form of Twilight, which despite having nothing in common with the Harry Potter series, will undoubtedly draw comparisons because of the furor and craze surrounding it. The main difference between the two, however, is that the Harry Potter films are generally good and solid films. Twilight, despite having done a couple things right, is not.

It's not just a vampire and a human falling in love with each other, but because of the two leads, it's one of the best on screen romances of the decade. This, however, is severely hurt by the fact that Twilight boasts easily some of the worst writing and editing I've ever seen. Let's not forget about the horrid VFX and pasty makeup, either. It's one of the cheesiest films of the year, and can definitely be put in the category of "so bad it's ALMOST good". Yes, I just invented that category.

That, folks, is the reason most people will be able to sit through this movie. The chemistry between the two leads, romantically and sexually, is amazing. In this respect, Pattinson and Stewart are perfectly cast and it makes me wonder if they could end up together in real life some day. I was very surprised by how much I liked seeing their one on one scenes.

I guess I‘m just a sequel kind of girl. When I first heard that there was going to be a Transporter 3 - I couldn‘t wait. Hmmm, then again maybe it‘s just my secret attraction to Jason Statham. *giggling*……The six pack on that man makes me drool. Ahhh anyways, back to the movie…..if you enjoyed the ridiculous action seen in the first two, you will definitely enjoy Transporter 3. This is an 1hr and 40 minutes of pure non-stop action. A spectacular and adrenaline-charged action-packed thrill-machine from start to finish. The best Transporter film so far. A smart, stylish, wickedly cool and explosive adventure. Loaded with even more great eye-popping stunts, incredible clever and brilliant written, character

car chases and awesome fight sequences. A plot laced with non-stop action. A solid, welldriven and well-crafted action movie.

A large portion of the film involves the love-story between Martin and Valentina, and this is where the movie may become hit-or-miss for the fans. Essentially, Valentina is the "Anti-Frank Martin"- she is fun-loving, spunky and very open to anything. Frank finds her annoying at first, but you can tell he almost envies her lifestyle compared to his own strict life, which he now is starting to realize has been holding him back. You can tell they are a good match for each other because they even each other out. And Rudakova does a good job with the role, though the audience may think she goes a little too far during certain scenes, where her antics go wild. Still, she adds a lot to the plot, and keeps the story fresh Jason Statham is fantastic, he's a mixture of James Bond and Jason Bourne rolled into one kick-ass action hero. Delivering in his performance and his dedication to the stunts. Robert Knepper is excellent, playing a very clever and vicious villain. A terrifically entertaining and absolutely exhilarating action flick. A very enjoyable and very fun movie. It's a total blast. It's Bond for the twenty first century. This film delivers in every way. The movie was loaded with ultra cool action sequences and spectacular stunts that will keep you in the edge of your seat. 5 Trinities

The Dark Knight : Directed by: Christopher Nolan Genre: Action, Crime, Thriller Staring : Christian Bale, Heath Ledger, Aaron Eckhart, Micheal Caine, Maggie Gyllenhaal and Morgan Freeman

It is rare, that a movie can surpass all the hype and pass all expectations on the film. Nolan (The Prestige, Batman Begins) delivers on more than the Joker we remember from the 'Old Days' of Burton and Nicholson. Instead we're given a psychopathic sadist who pleasures sheer anarchy.

All the hailing of Ledger's performance are grounded. Watching it will make you feel a different chill down your spine than you'd remember from any other film. It's impossible, quite literally to relate to The Joker. He gets inside your head with his stories of how he got his scars, makes you laugh at his sick jokes, then makes you instantly wonder why you're laughing. If Ledger wasn't enough to horrify you - wait for Harvey Dent. Brilliantly portrayed by Aaron Eckhart as Gotham's 'fallen White Knight' and Batman's direct counterpart. His transformation will put Tommy Lee Jones' portrayal look like children's breakfast cartoons. Gyllenhaal had perfect chemistry with both Bale and Eckhart, Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman both work well as Batman's 'conscience' and of course, Gary Oldman as Lieutenant Gordon were all solid.

All in all, this is a film that is quite close, if it isn't already, a masterpiece. Nolan has a great thing going and unlike previous 'Superhero' adaptations (Spiderman and Fantastic Four for example), there isn't campiness creeping in. In face, if Batman Begins was 10/10, The Dark Knight deserves a 12. Quite simply, the best possible sequel that could've been given. If you watch this (which I implore that you do), you certainly won't regret it. One of the best movies of 2008.

How do I get over this guy? Okay, If you don't mind I need some advice on how to move on. The guy was my first everything. We started off best friends. We were dating for 8 months. He still wants to be my friend and I want to be his but I think he's making a huge mistake. I mean, I am everything he wants; he has even helped me along the way to become a better person. It's just that he has these depression issues where he will push everyone away and break up with me. We have gone through several breakups and all that we were able to work out but this was the last one. I really don't want to break up I truly love him and I don't want to see him get hurt because he seems to be attracted to woman that will cheat, use, and mentally abuse him. I'm not a mean person but I am willing to kick some ass for him. hehehe*. What do you recommend me doing. I am going on a trip for 3 weeks in a couple of days do you think the time will help with his decision? I don't know. His brother say's just give him time and he will be wanting you back. Who knows? That doesn’t mean abandon the people that we love it just means giving them room to grow and discover what we already know. Only then can a person truly appreciate you for all the wonderful things you bring to the table. My advice is that you don’t pressure this man. Instead just do you for a while and though it may be hard, pretend that he doesn’t even exist. When he wants to talk he will reach out to you,

Ecstasy: What is your main goal for the future of the Ecstasy Newsletter? Javon64: Good question. Funny because had you asked me this question a few years ago I would have said for it to mature into what it has become today. I would have also said that I hope for it to reach even more readers around the world while changing each of their lives for the better and teaching them that it‘s ok to love sex. However, the truth is that I never really expected it to grow as big as it has. Hell in a way I never really looked that far ahead back then because I had so many other things on my plate. It wasn‘t until I started incorporating selfhelp articles on relationships and opened the newsletter up to other authors and columnists to contribute that I saw its true potential. That‘s when I really started to dream, and once that happed it was as if things just started to fall into place and make sense. So now to me the only other thing that would really make sense is to see the Ecstasy Newsletter in print on newsstands and magazine racks around the world. Covered in plastic of course, like those Playboy and Hustler Mags. lol Ecstasy: How did you get into writing in the Erotic Fiction genre?

Javon64: You can say destiny, because when I first started writing stories initially I tried to write in every other genre except erotica. It wasn‘t until I read an erotic story by some unknown writer that I said to my wife, ―I can do this.‖ From there it just came natural and in doing so it was almost like therapy because I started to live through my work. That‘s why I can relate so much to the old adages that ―we don‘t choose what we write…it chooses us‖, and ―write what you know‖. Also, as most people already know, I have a past that‘s drenched in sex due to a sexual addiction. People often wonder why or even how I can talk about it so freely. What they don‘t understand is that a sex addict and a drug addict are one in the same. The only difference between the two is by which means of travel they use to arrive at that high. For some folks the drug is marijuana, alcohol or even crack cocaine, but for me it was, and still is to a certain point, SEX. Over the years I can‘t count the number of women I used and was used by - for sex.

Ecstasy: You have no shame when it comes to matters of sexuality and explaining things to those who dream of being uninhibited, why? Javon64: I know this answer might sound cliché but what I‘m about to say is the God‘s honest truth. Life is too fucking short to give a damn what someone else thinks of you. I learned a long time ago that you will never be able to satisfy everyone. People will always find some reason to say negative things about anyone that takes the road less traveled. Not only that but I‘ve seen what sexual repression does to a good relationship over time if uncorrected and it‘s not a pretty sight in the slightest. The way I see it is sex is not something dirty. Society tries to paint this picture that sex is so dirty, however the porn industry is thy highest grossing industry in the world. I bet the porn industry not hurting in the least from this depression we‘re experiencing. So what that just shows is that somebody watching the shit…and it‘s not just the perverts.

Ecstasy: Does your writing, your love of amateur porn, or the subjects you talk about ever endanger you to revisiting your sexual addiction?

Javon64: Hell yeah it does. I tell people all the time that the only thing that makes what I do for a living hard is my past. It would be no difference if I was a recovering alcoholic working as a bartender. Talk about a challenge— that‘s what it‘s like being me. The only difference is, I know I have a job to do and God placed this thorn in my side for a reason, a reason much greater than my mere challenge to avoid temptation.

Ecstasy: Do you have any advice for anyone who might be battling a sexual addiction? Javon64: First admit it to yourself because if you don‘t, all the help in the world won‘t do anything except annoy you and make you mad. Next, get help because there comes a point when you can‘t battle it alone. Keep in mind that help doesn‘t necessarily have to be some room full of strangers sharing their deep, dark secrets with one another and some weird looking guy with a clip board, either. Help can come in the form of a close friend, relative…or my favorite, God. Actually, anyone suffering from any addition should drop down on their knees immediately and ask God for help. That‘s what I did and continue to do even to this day. What they shouldn‘t do is get down on themselves or outcast themselves from society because of it. They could also do what I did and find an alternate source of release that‘s less dangerous, such as masturbation. I‘d much rather masturbate twelve times a day if necessary than going out and sleeping with twelve different women. It‘s all about the lesser of two evils. Ecstasy: You are a young man who endeavors to improve and advance relationships worldwide, what inspired this?

Javon64: My sexual addiction actually. I used so many women for sex over the years that I wanted to give something back, and what better way to do that than by helping them to avoid the same type of guy that I was like. Living with a sexual addiction for so long forced me to deal with every type of woman imaginable - all for that orgasm fix I was in search of so bad. However, what was unknown to me during this time was that God was using my addiction as a teaching tool to motivate me to get in tune with women on a mental level that most men aren‘t capable of. It wasn‘t until years later while looking back on my past life that I realized that God really does work in mysterious ways, because all that time Satan was trying to destroy me, He was setting the foundation for my true destiny. I know I probably sound insane but what I tell you is the truth. Ecstasy:...What does Javon read? Who are some of your favorite authors? Javon64: Believe it or not what I don‘t read is erotic fiction. To be honest erotic fiction doesn‘t interest me, which is why people that read my stories can instantly see so many other genres, such as mystery, thriller, and even horror incorporated. Although I‘m a book author and my job is to produce and sell books I never sellout just to make a buck. I have to like and feel what I am writing or it bores the hell out of me. Writing has to be fun for me or I can‘t do it.

As for favorite authors, I don‘t have any. However there are authors that write the types of books I prefer, and those authors are Dan Brown, Steven King, and any autobiography on a successful entrepreneur that made something out of the scraps he was given.

Ecstasy: What words of advice do you have for budding writers wanting to enter the Erotic genre?

Javon64: First ask yourself why Erotic fiction? My reason was simple; it chose me, not the other way around. What‘s your reason? I sometimes compare being an erotic author to someone being gay, mainly due to the way society rejects you and tries to put you in this box of outcasts. People may not think so but being an erotic author, and admitting it openly, takes a lot of balls. People are quick to judge you, your family and associates all because you invent stories centered around sex. Nowadays most black erotic authors are trying to follow in Zane‘s footsteps not realizing how difficult that will be in this day and time. There‘s a big difference between when Zane came in the game and the game that I‘m knee-deep in now. Know that I‘m not saying all of this to detour anyone from being an erotic author, however what I won‘t do is paint this glamorous picture of how it is because it‘s not. To make it as an erotic author takes a lot of hard work depending what your definition of making it is. For some their definition of making it is simply seeing their book in print for the first time, while for others it‘s seeing their name up in stars as a New York Times Best Seller. Whatever your reason is wanting to be an erotic author is be honest with yourself and set small goals and start chipping away at them little at a time. But whatever your reason is first and foremost you need to do it for the love, first. Your love for writing Erotic fiction will keep you going way longer than the money will. Believe that! Ecstasy: What keeps you doing what you do Javon? Javon64: Simple, I don‘t have a plan B. Some folks might think that‘s crazy but I think people with too many backup plans have too many excuses to give up on plan A. That and I have this belief that the true secret to success is the ability and willpower not to quit. To me it‘s inevitable that you‘re going to make it one day as long as you don‘t give up and it‘s in God‘s divine plan. Now if God chooses otherwise and sets you on a different path then that‘s not you giving up on your dream, that‘s intervention by destiny. Ecstasy: Most people don't think that Author's of Erotica would have any type of Spiritual beliefs or connection, tell us about yours. And please tell us about your tattoo's & piercings! Javon64: I always get this question when people find out how spiritual I am. My whole spiritual belief was planted in me as a child by my grandmother, God bless her soul, and was nurtured thereafter by my maker Himself. I love when people criticize me for what I write and tell me that I‘m going against God, because by doing so they‘re unknowingly going against His words. I find that the religious people that have the most criticism about erotic writers are normally the ones that have the most sexual hang-ups. That and a lot of religious fanatics have this image of God that they try to impose on others. In a sense it‘s almost as if their whole objective is to scare people away from God, which is something I know He doesn‘t want. That‘s precisely why I say I‘m more of a spiritual person rather than a religious one. To me religious people are no better than cults because they run around accusing other religions of false teachings while saying that they and all their followers are going to hell. I don‘t

believe that, which is why I don‘t claim any particular religion. The God that I have a relationship with that has carried me through hell and back isn‘t that kind of God. Don‘t get me started because this is a subject that I‘m very passionate about. As for tattoos I think people with tattoos are some of the most eccentric people you will ever meet. That‘s eccentric in a good way (lol). As for me, I truly couldn‘t tell you how many I have because somewhere after 50 I lost track. No piercings yet, unless you count the 10 gage earrings in both of my ears. I‘ve never been one for the piercings though I don‘t judge people that get ‗em. I‘m sure it‘s no different from my tattoo fetish. As of right now my left arm is completely sleeved with mostly Angels (another of my fascinations) and flames. Both my hands are done, as well as my chest, stomach, both sides of my neck and my back. My right arm is also halfway sleeved but I still have about 12 or more hours of work left. In about 5 years I should be completely done so you can say I have a long way to go.

Lessons from 2008 The end of another year is once again just around the corner. In continuing with the tradition of remembering the important lessons I learned over the last 12 months, here is the list for 2008. Instant Relationship – Women tend to be guiltier of this than men. After a month or two of dating someone, they assume they are in a relationship. Even though there has been no discussion of commitment or exclusivity, they start to behave as if they are already the girlfriend. The time between when you want to be exclusive and when he wants to be exclusive is very delicate. If handled improperly, you may never get to the relationship you want. Rejection is God’s Protection – Danish philosopher Kierkegaard said, “Life can only be understood backwards, but must be lived forwards”. When someone we‘re interested in rejects us, it is of course painful. However, when we look back, we are often glad that it didn‘t work out. If you‘ve recently been rejected, take comfort in knowing there‘s a good reason which you will probably understand at some point in the future. Investment = Control – The more invested you are in a relationship, the more control you want over what happens with it. Conversely, the more control you want, the more invested you are in the other person. If you want to know how ―into you‖ someone is, asking them is not the best way to get the answer. Look at how much control they want! Communication not Confrontation - People writing to me for advice often ask if they should ―confront‖ someone. To me, this means they believe the other person is doing something wrong and they need to call them out. This is always a bad attitude to approach someone with. The Right Time – Speaking of communication, choosing the right time is just as important as choosing your words. If you are tired, hungry, cold or hot, that is not the time to have an important discussion. Contrary to popular belief, it‘s okay to go to bed mad if it‘s late and you‘re tired. You will wake up with a new perspective and suddenly things won‘t look as bad.

Principle of Perfection – Instead of thinking that other people need to be fixed or changed, it‘s a lot less stressful to see everyone (including yourself) as already being perfect. One the one hand, you know they aren‟t perfect, but maybe, in the grand scheme of things, they are! Inner Beauty – Everyone has an ideal in their mind of what they think their partner should look like. When someone comes along who doesn‘t quite fit into that box, they reject them, even if there is a mental, emotional and/or spiritual connection. Your ego wants the ―one‖ to look a certain way, but your heart only wants a true connection. Listen to your heart. Better or Worse – When you can‘t decide between two courses of action, ask yourself: Will I feel better or worse after doing this, saying that, going here, etc. I‘m not talking about feeling better immediately; I‘m talking about feeling better in the long run. If you stop to ask yourself this question the next time you can‘t make up your mind as to what you should do, you will make the right decision more often than not. Commitment – The common myth is that guys don‘t want to commit. I believe most guys do want to eventually make a commitment. Everyone wants to love and be loved. Guys don‘t run from love; they‘re run from making a commitment too soon. Keep that in mind the next time you are impatient and trying to move things along. Is it Acceptable – People put up with all kinds of things just to have someone in their life. They tell themselves they are being too needy when confronted with behavior which their intuition tells them isn‘t right. Ask yourself, ―Is this acceptable to me?‖ If not, then you need to communicate your feelings and decide what course of action to take depending on the response. The History Of Swinging ORIGINS: Swinging has probably gone on since the DAWN OF TIME. Many cultures hold no stigma to the sharing of married partners, the Inuit tribes of Alaska and northern regions of Canada and some African Tribes being a few examples. But the beginnings of modern swinging originated in Germany. There were many military units serving in Germany after World War II. Many of the members serving in these units were chiefly responsible for bringing the swinging culture back to North America. In other parts of the country, principally the South, Midwest and Pacific Northwest, Socials and Circles developed. The activities of this style of swing club were and still are generally dances. ON-PREMISE PARTIES: Swinging in California evolved along different lines.
