MATERIALS

For TRIMM Copenhagen, the choice of material is absolutely fundamental for product development and identity as a design company. In addition to going for high quality, priority is also given to materials with a high durability and the possibility of using the material again and again for new purposes.

In recent years, TRIMM Copenhagen has also begun to choose materials that have had a life before or in some other way have little or no harmful effects on the climate and the environment.

Outdoor Material

The outdoor fabric is SUNBRELLA PLUS® which is a performance material, originally designed for boats. Therefore it is extremely waterproof, thanks to the acrylic coating on the backside (It is three times more water repellant than any other outdoor materials from Sunbrella). At the same time, SUNBRELLA PLUS® is breathable, which prevents condensation and moisture. It has maximal resistance against mold because the acrylic coating contains a special fungus-killing mixture of saltwater. It is also UV resistant and the color fastness is an 8 on a scale from 1-10, where 10 is the best.

NOTE: When receiving your new outdoor products, you might experience light marks on the fabric surface. This is residue from the back coating of the fabric and is a part of the overall expression of the furniture. It will however fade out and disappear over time and when used regularly. All products are produced in the EU

Cleaning:

First, brush off loose dirt.

Hose down fabric thoroughly. Water should be cold to lukewarm and never more than 100°F/38°C.

Prepare a cleaning solution of water and mild soap (no detergents).

Use a soft bristle brush to clean. Allow cleaning solution to soak into the fabric.

Be sure to rinse thoroughly to remove all soap residue. Allow Sunbrella to air dry only. Never apply heat to Sunbrella fabrics.

Leather

Leather is a high-quality material, with many good properties. It is easy to clean and maintain, has a high level of water- and stain resistance, a high lightfastness (7/10), and is also fire-retardant.

Our leather products are designed to get the absolute most of every piece of skin. This is achieved by using the large pieces for furniture and the smaller pieces for cushions.

Organic Teddy Cotton

Our teddy is made from 100% organic cotton, with a GOTS certificate. It has a soft and breathable surface and gives a high level of comfort when sitting on the furniture. Read more about the material here

All wool products have a removable cover, which makes cleaning easy. It also makes it possible to replace only the cover if you want to switch to another color or materials.

The inner bag in the teddy products has an opening, which makes it possible to adjust the filling to fit your specific comfort need.
