From high-level competition to recreational fun Trinity varsity athletes regularly earn Academic All-American honors. They also routinely win games, conference titles, and even NCAA Division III championships. But if you’re looking for a little less intense competition, there are plenty of opportunities through our club sports teams and popular intramural programs. What’s more, you’ll have outstanding facilities for workouts and pick-up games, and you can enjoy the great outdoors on student-led adventures in Texas and around the country.

ACADEMIC MERIT SCHOLARSHIPS

Domestic first-year, full-time undergraduate students admitted to Trinity University’s Class of 2024 who apply by our Jan. 15, 2020, Regular Decision deadline are automatically considered for the scholarship offerings listed below. No additional applications are required. Students who have strong academic preparation, but who do not meet the specific criteria below, will also be considered for scholarships by the Trinity University admissions committee. Applicants who apply for admission after Jan. 15, 2020, will be considered for merit scholarships on a case-by-case basis by the admissions committee; award amounts may not reflect the levels indicated below.

Awards are determined based on official high school transcript and testing information received by the Office of Admissions at the time of a student’s application. Core GPAs are recalculated on an unweighted 4.0 scale using the student’s core academic courses (English, math, science, social science, and foreign language) completed in high school. Trinity University does not have a preference for ACT or SAT. Trinity superscores, using the highest test scores submitted for admission and scholarship consideration. For ACT, the highest scores for each subtest will be combined to generate the highest composite score; for SAT, the best Evidence-Based Reading and Writing and Math subscores will be used to calculate a maximum single score.


TRINITY TOWER SCHOLARS DAY: FULL-TUITION SCHOLARSHIP COMPETITION

Students who demonstrate exceptional talent in music, art, theatre, or debate, may apply for music scholarships or Baker Duncan Art/Debate/ Theatre Scholarships, available in various amounts up to $10,000.

The admissions committee will invite Murchison Scholarship recipients and other top students admitted to Trinity University’s Class of 2024 who apply Early Decision I or Early Action by November 1 to compete for up to 20 full-tuition scholarships during our Trinity Tower Scholars Day (TTSD) on Saturday, February 8, 2020.

National Merit Finalists who list Trinity as their first-choice school by May 1, 2020, will be considered for an additional Trinity National Merit Scholarship of $2,000.

Early Decision II and Regular Decision applicants will not be eligible to attend TTSD or compete for a full-tuition scholarship.

SPECIALIZED MERIT SCHOLARSHIPS The Semmes Distinguished Scholars in Science Award is a fulltuition scholarship open to Murchison Scholars and other top students interested in majoring in a STEM-related field. In order to be considered for this award, students must apply for admission to the University under an Early Decision I or Early Action decision plan and submit the Semmes Distinguished Scholars in Science Award Application online by November 1. The Storer & Tillman Scholarship for Developing Christian Leaders is open to students, by application, who demonstrate financial need and a commitment to developing their leadership skills in the context of their faith.
