• For the safety of the students, please do not drop off your LS children prior to 7:45 a.m. • PreK Drop-off (Art Wing) – This is the required location for preK students; their

LS siblings should also be dropped off at this location. Teachers will be at this

location to assist unloading all students. Enter at the US entrance on Addison Road.

Head west in front of the US towards the baseball field. Once you enter the US main parking lot, stay in the right lane and follow the carpool flow to the far west side of the

US main parking lot and to the south side of the US/north side of the LS. Follow the right lane to turn right, proceeding to the Art Wing drop-off area. Vehicles will drive past the entry to the Art Wing and then make a U-turn into the drop-off area. Once students are unloaded, the vehicle will exit by turning right and driving between the US and the LS, around past the porte cochere and out to the campus road. • K–1st Grade Drop-off (LS Cafeteria) – This is the required location for K and

1st-grade students; their LS siblings should also be dropped off at this location.

Addison Road. • 2nd–4th Grade Alternative Drop-off (LS Lobby) – Students must be able to exit car without adult assistance. Families with LS and MS students can drop off in front of the

PreK Building. Please pull forward as far as possible in the loading zone and remain in the right-hand lane until you stop and unload your children. “Where you stop is where you drop.” Exit onto Addison Road; drivers are required to turn south onto Addison Road.

Please note: if a parent needs to enter a building between 7:45 and 8:15 a.m., please drop off; then park your car and walk in.

LOWER SCHOOL AFTERNOON PICK-UP

Students must be picked up with carpool number. Enter at the US entrance on Addison Road. Head west in front of the US towards the baseball field. Once you enter the US main parking lot, choose a lane for pick-up: left lane - LS Cafeteria (preferred for kindergarten) or right lane - Art Wing (required for preK). Follow the carpool flow around the baseball field, to the far west side of the US main parking lot and to the south side of the US/north side of the LS. Students will be brought to your car at the curb along the north side of the LS or at the Art Wing. After picking up your child, exit onto Addison Road; police are on duty to assist turning north or south.

Regular Carpool - 2:50–3:10 p.m. (M–Th), 12:50–1:10 p.m. (F) Late Carpool - 3:10–3:20 p.m. (M–Th), 1:10–1:20 p.m. (F)

All students should plan to follow the regular carpool procedures unless they are waiting for older siblings, carpooling with a MS or US family or will be attending After-School Care.

MIDDLE SCHOOL DROP-OFF - 7:30–8 a.m. (M–F)

Students should be dropped off prior to 8 a.m. at either the Sojourn carpool line or the Lower School lot off Addison Road. Students should exit as quickly as possible from the right-hand side of the vehicle once parents have pulled as far forward as possible in the carpool lane. For drop-off in the Lower School lot off Addison Road, stay on the right side of the cones and follow the directions of the security officer, pulling as far forward as possible in the loading zone before stopping to unload students. All students MUST exit the vehicle at the same time. “Where you stop is where you drop.” Fifth- and sixth-grade students should enter by the 5/6 Middle School Office.

MIDDLE SCHOOL PICK-UP - 3:25–3:45 (M–Th), 1:20–1:40 (F)

Middle School students may not be picked up in the Lower School carpool line.

n 5th and 6th grade

5th/6th grade students are not permitted to pick up Lower School siblings. The Sojourn carpool line is the preferred pick-up location.

An alternate pick-up location is the Lower School lot off Addison Road. Parents should pull forward to the front of the north entrance of the Middle School building. n 7th and 8th grade

Students who choose the Athletic Development program in any given trimester will be picked up at the Athletic Training Center (ATC) at 3:30 p.m. (M–Th). Students who are participating on an athletic team will be picked up at the time and location communicated by the Athletic Department. On Fridays, seventh- and eighth-grade students should be picked up at the Sojourn carpool line at the south entrance to the 7/8 Middle School between 1:20 and 1:40 p.m., unless they have training at the ATC, which ends at 2:45 p.m.

UPPER SCHOOL DROP-OFF - 7:30–8 a.m. (M–Th), 7:30–9 a.m. (F)

We encourage US students to arrive between 7:30 and 7:45 a.m. (M–Th) to avoid the LS drop-off time. UPPER SCHOOL PICK-UP - 3:30–3:45 (M–Th), 1:45–2 (F)

Head west in front of the US towards the baseball field. Follow the US signs, turning right into the main lot, and head west through the lot. U-turn to head east down the last row of parking, parallel to the LS carpool line, toward the US. Then head north to one of two locations: n Option A – The sidewalk by the curb on the west side of the US, allowing your student to enter the building at the west end of the history/English hallway. Head to the drive north of the US and exit onto Addison Road. n Option B – The short drop-off zone along the curb by the US main entrance on the north side of the building. Exit the campus onto Addison Road.

Do not turn south between the LS playground and US building to pick up at the porte cochere during afternoon pick-up. Do not make a U-turn at the baseball field. Follow the route indicated by the map.

OPPORTUNITIES

There are many volunteer opportunities at TCA. Below are some of the schoolwide programs as well as opportunities for the Lower School, Middle School and Upper School specialty areas. All volunteer opportunities are available for sign-up on the TCA website, TrinityChristian.org. Click on the Resources tab and then the Volunteer Now icon. Online sign-ups go live on Wednesday, September 14, at 8 p.m. Please consider volunteering!

CLASSROOM or GRADE LEVEL

Assist with field trips, class parties and other events throughout the year.

RECEPTIONS

Assist director of volunteer services with setup, serving and cleanup at receptions for performing arts events.

NEW PARENT RECEPTION – May 2, 2023

Volunteer couples or individuals help to welcome our new families as well as set up and serve our refreshments.

RECEPTIONIST/MAIN SWITCHBOARD LUNCH RELIEF

Volunteers will welcome and sign in visitors and answer phones for an hour during lunch time two or more times a month. Contact Reeve Pearce at rpearce@trinitychristian.org if interested.

LOWER SCHOOL OFFICE

Involves greeting visitors, answering phones, organizing Lost & Found, making copies and delivering items to classrooms. Time commitment is two or more times a month.

LOWER SCHOOL DADS CLUB

The Lower School Dads Club is a chance for dads to be more visible on campus in a servant-leadership partnership. Some of the club’s activities will include helping with carpool, reading to the students, making delicious snow cones and helping with other events. All Lower School dads are welcome. Watch the eWeekly for details.

LOWER SCHOOL LIBRARY

Volunteers are needed once a week for 30-minute shifts. Opportunities for volunteers include shelving books and assisting with a variety of projects.

LOWER SCHOOL GRANDPARENT DAYS

November 17, 2022 (One day event: PreK–4th grade)

Volunteers are needed to serve grandparents and special friends for this beloved tradition. Opportunities include pre-event set up, registration, hospitality and classroom guides.

BIG BLUE

Volunteers are needed to greet, welcome and assist customers with purchases; manage, sort and distribute new merchandise to store floor; operate cash registers and check out customer purchases. Contact Amanda Rogers at arogers@trinitychristian.org to volunteer.

MIDDLE SCHOOL LIBRARY

Volunteers are needed once a week or every other week for one- to three-hour shifts. Opportunities for volunteers include checking books in and out, shelving books, processing books and helping with special events. No experience needed!

MIDDLE SCHOOL CHOIR

Volunteers are needed to assist with chaperoning activities/trips and serving at receptions. Other opportunities include assisting with costumes, choreography and stage decorations.

7th & 8th GRADE BAND

Volunteers are needed to assist with chaperoning activities/trips. Other opportunities include helping with concerts, photography, digital projects and serving at receptions.

Volunteers are needed to assist with stage construction, props, organizing costumes, decorating the lobby, chaperoning and concessions.

UPPER SCHOOL LIBRARY

Volunteers are needed during our busiest research days (mainly in the spring) to help with scanning and re-shelving books and other easily learned tasks.

UPPER SCHOOL BAND

Volunteers are needed for chaperoning activities/trips and coordinating receptions and social events.

UPPER SCHOOL CHOIR

Volunteers are needed for stage decorations, clerical work, accompanying, chaperoning activities/trips and helping with the spring musical.

UPPER SCHOOL DRAMA, CHAPEL & SPRING PRODUCTIONS

Volunteers are needed to assist with costumes, props, furniture locating and/or transporting, hairstyling, make-up, art work, publicity, ticket sales, refreshments, set decorations and building or painting sets.
