DISCIPLESHIP: Over the course of the Fall, participants will read short works about what it means to follow Christ and live as faithful disciples. Our conversations will be guided by writings from contemporary authors such as Rowan Williams, Barbara Brown Taylor, Richard Rohr, and Sarah Coakley. Through readings and discussion we will discern where we are called at this stage of our lives.

RACE & RECONCILIATION STUDY GROUP: The Cross and the Lynching Tree, by James H. Cone. Led by leaders of the Race & Reconciliation Team at Trinity, we'll read and discuss James H. Cone's book chapter by chapter, and explore contemporary meditations (song, visual art, poetry, etc.) responding to the"lethal oppression experienced by African Americans that has been formative for both the faith and civic posture of the black community for a very long time." (Stephen G. Ray Jr., The Cross and the Lynching Tree, The Christian Century, January 30, 2012 ) Call the office to inquire about buying the book.

Join us in any way that fits your schedule. Drop in for community supper, or stay for the whole evening.
