Mark Your Calendars for Trinity School’s 2019 Summer Camp! Trinity School Summer Camp offers a variety of academic, specialty, and sports camps—including Coach Brian Balocki’s popular Atlanta Sports Camps—for children ages 4 to 13. From cooking to coding, Legos to lacrosse, choose your child’s summer adventure from our camps that will run Monday–Friday from June 3–28 with limited offerings available from July 29–August 2. New camps will be added over the course of the next month, and we know that you will find something your child will love! Session 1: June 3–7 Session 2: June 10–14 Session 3: June 17–21 Session 4: June 24–28 Session 5: July 29–August 2 (limited offerings) Trinity School Summer Camp is open to the public. Session 1 | June 3–7 Abrakadoodle Art: Space Art Camp Rising Pre-K and Kindergarten Rising First–Sixth Grade Campers will blast off on an outer space adventure, learning about the solar system, meteoroids, meteors and meteorites, constellations, and much more. They will discover why astronauts wear space suits and why telescopes are important tools. Campers will also create art that focuses on science, technology, engineering, and math concepts. Exploring fun art techniques, playing games, and making friends that are “out of this world,” our adventurers will reach for the stars! Addition and Subtraction Adventures with Mrs. Coote Rising First and Second Grade While engaging in fun problem-solving activities individually and in groups, campers will learn and strengthen addition and subtraction skills as well as gain an awareness of algebraic concepts. Your child will leave the camp with an understanding of various mathematical strategies and how the strategies are connected. Atlanta Sports Camps Rising First–Sixth Grade Coach Brian and his staff have created a safe and challenging environment for both boys and girls. Our goal is for all campers to play hard, display sportsmanship, and have fun! The day will be filled with your kids’ favorite sports activities: soccer, kickball, tag and capture-games, basketball, flag football, hockey, lacrosse, ultimate Frisbee, cooperative challenges, and more. Campers will have the opportunity to swim at Garden Hills Pool and participate in water activities on Trinity’s campus. Lunch, swimming, and transportation to and from Garden Hills are included. 4
Coding Academy 201 Rising Second–Fifth Grade Campers will play, learn, explore, and develop their coding skills in Coding Academy 201. Coding has multiple benefits, from improving problemsolving techniques, collaboration, communication, and breaking down big ideas to specific tasks, using logic, and showing perseverance. Campers will engage in coding with Spheros, Blue-Bots, Bloxels, Kodable, and so many other fun state-of-the-art tools. Your child will leave camp feeling empowered and confident in coding. Girls In Action Rising Third–Sixth Grade Campers will spend a week with Girls In Action getting healthy and having fun! Our Girls in Action will stay moving with activities like running the track, playing games, and exploring in Discovery Woods. They will also sample a fun and healthy snack each day.

Legos with Ms. Samantha: Building Frenzy! Rising Kindergarten–Second Grade Calling all LEGO masters! If your child loves to build, then have them join Ms. Samantha to build a multitude of LEGO creations, including castles, spaceships, city buildings, Friends, superhero, and ninja sets. Campers will also build from their imaginations, using hundreds of bricks and specialized pieces. There will be fun and creative challenges every day designed to test your child’s ingenuity and imagination. Storybook Art: Ocean Extravaganza Rising Pre-K–First Grade Let your child learn to love literacy by creating art! Trinity Teachers Claire Cagle and Anne Jones will integrate literacy skills using different picture books while exploring different art media. Throughout the week, campers will learn all about marine creatures, including whales, sharks, and even mermaids! By the end of the week, your child will learn how to create art pieces that tell a story and write words that paint pictures! Super Scientists: Fizz, Pop, Bang...Kid Chemistry! Rising Pre-K–First Grade Put on your safety goggles and prepare to get messy! Trinity Teachers Thalia Scott (a.k.a. Mrs. T) and April Patton are teaming up for this week of cool-kid chemistry in the science lab. Campers will create potions that bubble and fizz; sink their fingers into oozing, color-changing slime; and make predictions as they mix mystery substances and try to make them explode! Our Super Scientists will experiment, explore, and discover...that science is a blast! 6
Trinity Spirit Camp Rising Kindergarten–Third Grade Campers will enjoy a week of fun with Ms. Ali and Ms. Molly showing their Trinity spirit! As former cheerleaders and coaches, Ali and Molly are excited to share their passion for cheer and dance. Participants will learn fundamental skills, including motions, form, and stunts. Parents are invited to attend the pep rally on the last day of camp where campers will perform a cheer and a dance! Vet Academy: Basic Vet Skills Rising Second–Fifth Grade Does your child love animals? Want to be a vet when they grow up? Then Vet Academy is the place for them! Campers will join Trinity School Science Teacher Lauren Kane to become junior veterinarians this summer! They will learn what vets do, where they work, and how they help animals. Using stethoscopes and microscopes, campers will dissect an owl pellet, practice their suturing skills, examine x-rays, and learn from other animal-lovers in our Atlanta community! Junior Vets will also adopt their own dog or cat, design carriers and collars, and learn how to conduct physical exams and splint sprained bones. Vet Academy will include playground time, arts and crafts, and games. It will be a paws-itively great week! Campers are welcome to register for both sessions of Vet Academy: “Basic Vet Skills” (Session 1) and “All About Animals” (Session 2). Both camps will also be offered during Sessions 3 and 4. Wilderness Wonders: Creek Wonders Rising Pre-K–Second Grade Does your child ever wonder where the creek in Discovery Woods goes? Or even where it begins and ends? What lives in water? Campers will wade through the creek’s meandering path as we discover the answers! Join Ms. Pam and Ms. Brooke for a week of fun!

They will learn kitchen safety and cleanliness as well as basic kitchen skills, such as whipping, baking, roasting, sautéing, measuring, and following a recipe. Young Chefs will not only enjoy yummy eats, but also leave with cooking knowledge and kitchen confidence. Each week of camp will provide new recipes and experiences! Activities in the Afternoon: 12–2 PM Rising Pre-K–Sixth Grade Campers should get ready for an afternoon of fun! Every day, lunch, playground time, and an activity await them. This camp is for campers who are participating in a Special Interest Camp and want to stay until 2 PM.

Cool Kids Code 101 Rising Kindergarten and First Grade Campers will be introduced to coding and will play, learn, explore, and develop their coding skills. Coding has multiple benefits, from improving problemsolving techniques, collaboration, and communication to breaking down big ideas to specific tasks, using logic, and showing perseverance. Campers will engage in coding by exploring multiple coding apps and code using Blue-Bots. By the end of the week, they will feel empowered and confident in their coding. Multiplication Mania with Mrs. Coote Rising Third and Fourth Grade Does your child need a jump start on learning or strengthening multiplication and division skills? Campers will learn various multiplication and division strategies while gaining an understanding of algebraic concepts. They will engage in fun activities to problem solve while working individually and in groups.

Miss Kimberly’s Disney Extravaganza Rising Pre-K–First Grade Campers will join Miss Kimberly for a week full of creating fabulous crafts and participating in fun activities based on favorite Disney movies like Finding Dory, Toy Story, The Lion King, Winnie the Pooh, and Cars. Each day will have a different theme! Storybook Art: The Wild Side of Design Rising Pre-K–First Grade Let your child learn to love literacy by creating art! Trinity Teachers Claire Cagle and Anne Jones will integrate literacy skills using different picture books while exploring different art media. Throughout the week, campers will learn all about creatures in the wild, including lions, monkeys, and even snakes! By the end of the week, your child will learn how to create art pieces that tell a story and write words that paint pictures! Super Scientists: More Fizz, Pop, Bang...Kid Chemistry! Rising Pre-K–First Grade Can’t get enough Fizz, Pop, Bang? Campers can come back for more cool-kid chemistry with Trinity Teachers April Patton and Thalia Scott. During this second week of exploring in the science lab, campers will conquer STEAM challenges and investigate how heat affects a variety of materials. They will explore chemical reactions while erupting mini volcanoes and getting creative with exploding sidewalk chalk! Our Super Scientists will experiment, explore, and discover...that science is a blast! Session 1 of Super Scientists is not a prerequisite for Session 2. Campers can attend either or both sessions.

Wilderness Wonders: Where the Wild Things Live Rising Pre-K–Second Grade Campers will join Ms. Pam and Ms. Brooke as they explore off the path in Discovery Woods to find possible caves, nests, and hidden holes where little creatures could live. We’ll make traps to leave out overnight and see if we can catch anything. This camp will make your child a keen observer of nature. 11
Wizard Training Camp Rising First–Fifth Grade Calling all witches and wizards! Your children have been accepted to The Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry! They will get sorted into houses, receive their uniform, join the dueling club, and work toward the Hogwarts’ House Cup. If your child is a Harry Potter fanatic and loves making crafts and playing games, this magical summer camp is for them. Each day we will explore some of the same subjects offered at Hogwarts, like Potions, Care of Magical Creatures, and Herbology. Our wizards in training will learn wand making at Ollivanders and broom making at the Broom Shop. Daily fun will include Quidditch games and House competitions. Treats from house elves will be provided. Every child, even those new to the Harry Potter series, will love all the hands-on creations they will make at this exciting camp led by Trinity Teachers Nina Chamberlain, Leah Lenhardt, and Samantha Osby. Live Like a Disney Princess with Miss Kimberly Rising Pre-K–First Grade Campers will join Miss Kimberly for an exciting week of creating their own costumes and accessories based on popular Disney princesses like Elsa, Rapunzel, the Little Mermaid, Belle, and Pocahontas. Your children will feel just like Disney princesses with all of their new dress-up pieces! Super Scientists: Digging Up Dinosaurs Rising Pre-K–First Grade Travel back in time with Trinity Teacher April Patton to explore the age of the dinosaurs! Campers will excavate fossils like a paleontologist, investigate dinosaur eggs, and make a dinosaur tooth. Our Super Scientists will study the flight of the Pteranodon, measure the stride of the T-Rex, and build a working volcano! This week is sure to be a roaring good time! Swing Into Fifth and Sixth Grade Math with Mrs. Coote Rising Fifth and Sixth Grade Has your child been waiting to learn all about algebraic reasoning and how to write algebraic equations? Then this is the camp for them! Session 4 | June 24–28 Abrakadoodle Art: World Travel 3D Art Camp Rising Pre-K and Kindergarten Rising First–Sixth Grade Campers will take a creative journey that will change the way they see the world! They will create 3D masterpieces inspired by world cultures and learn about Chinese ceramics, Croatian “licitar” hearts, Maori design carvings from New Zealand, “nicho” boxes from Mexico, and much more. They will create art using a variety of materials, play games, and understand that through art we can connect with people from all over the world. They will learn basic cooking techniques, how to measure and follow a recipe, and how to use cooking equipment. They will also learn and practice basic etiquette skills, design a chef’s apron and hat, and enjoy cookingelated literature. Please note that sugar will be used in recipes for this camp. 16

Session 5 | July 29–August 2 Breaking Barriers Baseball Camp Rising Kindergarten–Sixth Grade Your child will gain a solid foundation of baseball skills during a camp led by former Chicago Cubs outfielder C.J. Stewart and student-athletes from public high schools around Atlanta who participate in Stewart’s L.E.A.D. Ambassadors program. Campers will be taught the fundamentals of base running, fielding, and throwing while, most importantly, having fun! All skill levels are welcome. Ease Into Early Learners! Rising Early Learners* Welcome to Trinity School, new Early Learners! Campers will join Ms. Gale and Ms. Robin for lots of learning and laughing. They will read stories, sing silly songs, and play games, all while practicing important skills and becoming acclimated to the daily routine of a Trinity School Early Learner. We will also enjoy exploring the School’s beautiful campus, including Discovery Woods. *Please note that this camp is only for children accepted into the Trinity School Early Learners program for the 2019-20 school year. Jump Into Kindergarten! Rising Kindergarten Campers will have fun with Ms. Shaun and Ms. Megan as they deepen foundational skills through the routines and strategies of Reader’s and Writer’s Workshop. From mini-lessons to individual conferencing (and so much more!), your future Kindergartner will receive a sneak peek of the structure, play, and fun of a typical Kindergarten day. Middle Level SSAT Workshop with BBTS Rising Fifth–Seventh Grade Don’t let the SSAT be a portentous adversary to you and your child. Beth Bristow Tutorial Services can help! Our primary mission is to teach students how to navigate standardized tests. Our test-taking strategies help students build confidence, improve accuracy, budget limited time, and avoid tempting wrong answers. Our proven techniques combined with practice on real tests will help students systematically review all sections of the SSAT. Along with vocab practice, we will cover essentials in the math, reading comprehension, verbal (synonym and analogy) and essay sections. With our meticulous yet affable approach, your child will reach the pinnacle of his or her potential! Prepping for Pre-K with Ms. Claire and Ms. Katherine Rising Pre-K Is your soon-to-be Pre-K student joining the Trinity community for the first time or returning after his or her first year as an Early Learner? He or she will have a blast with Ms. Claire and Ms. Katherine prepping for Pre-K! Campers will read stories, sing songs, and play games all while practicing important skills and getting acclimated to the daily routines of a Trinity Pre-K student. This is the perfect opportunity to make new friends, see familiar faces, and have a great start to the school year! Ready, Set, Read/Write! Rising First and Second Grade If your child is ready for some fun with literacy, you have come to the “write” place! Sign them up for an exciting summer exploration into literacy with Orton-Gillingham trained First Grade Teachers Julianne Schaaf and Rebecca Stewart. Using the Reading and Writing Workshop model, campers will pursue strategies that include decoding, building fluency, and deepening comprehension. Through the use of games, cooperative learning, art, and technology, they will work in small groups and receive individualized attention. 20
