2022 Winter Convocation Trinity Discussion Group The Diocese of Ohio's Winter Convocation is quickly approaching. This year, we will engage a 20-Day evangelism challenge where you will receive daily reflection questions. Trinity member, Jolene Miller, will facilitate a Trinity Zoom Conversation, gathering on Wednesday, February 16th from 7:00-8:30pm, to reflect on the daily reflection questions. ALL are welcome to participate in this discussion group and in the Diocese of Ohio's convocation challenge. Registration for both of these opportunities is required.

They will also participate in traditional camp activities including swimming, canoeing, arts and crafts, fishing, campfires, and field games. National Geographic Dives Into the Untold History of the Transatlantic Slave Trade with New Podcast, Into the Depths, Launching Jan. 27 Join National Geographic Explorer Tara Roberts on a historic journey as she documents some of the thousand slave ships that wrecked in the Atlantic Ocean during the transatlantic slave trade and follows a group of Black divers who are dedicated to finding and helping document the wrecks.

Collectively, their service to the Church spans more than 150 years and each of them continues to serve in ways that make a difference. Updates from Toledo Streets Newspaper Each year, Trinity partners with local organizations and social movements focused on working towards bettering our community. One of our 2022 community partners is Toledo Streets Newspaper (TSN). Toledo Streets was established to build a safe community that works to break the cycle of poverty and empower entrepreneurs. Here's some news from TSN: o Executive Director Arika Michaelis resigned in December 2021. o Jodi Jankowski, a social worker, has been hired, leading her first board meeting just a week after being hired. o Candace Bishop from the Toledo Lucas County Homelessness Board is their new Board Chair. o Ben Stalets, who was helping out in a part-time role as Office Manager has been promoted to a full-time position as Vendor Manager. The March issue of the paper will feature Jodi on the cover, so pick up a paper to find out more her transition into the role.

US Dept. of Health Black History Month Toolkit During the month of February, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office of Minority Health (OMH) is celebrating the achievements of African Americans and honoring the significant role and impact they have made on all facets of life and society throughout U.S. history. OMH will partner with fellow Offices of Minority Health at HHS and healthcare professionals around the nation to highlight the impacts COVID-19 has on African Americans with underlining health issues such as uncontrolled hypertension. The focus will also be on preparing communities for the vaccine and promoting the continued practice of COVID-19 safety measures

TSN Vendor Lunch Team On the third Thursday of each month, Trinity prepares and delivers lunch to the vendors of our community partner, Toledo Streets Newspaper (TSN). Trinity will gather at 9:00am on Thursday, March 17th to pack lunches and we need YOUR help! Trinity will purchase the food but we will need 4-5 volunteers to help prepare lunches. At 10:00, we'll head over to the TSN offices to deliver the meal and spend some time with the vendors. Click the image to join our team!!!

Celebrating Black Voices In The Episcopal Church Monday, February 28, 2022 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM ET In celebration of Black History Month, we invite you to join us for an honest conversation with five Black leaders who serve The Episcopal Church. Collectively, their service to the Church spans more than 150 years and each of them continues to serve in ways that make a difference. Hosted by the Church Pension Group’s (CPG) People of African Descent affinity group, we will explore the panel’s experiences and thoughts around Becoming Beloved Community; examine themes around social justice, diversity, equity, and inclusion; and discuss the challenges and opportunities they see in a predominantly white Church. Join friends for the best week of the summer! Bellwether Farm is a working farm with fields, forests, and facilities sure to transform lives. Our traditional overnight summer camp lets children immerse themselves in fun, engaging activities which seek to teach healthy social, nutritional, and environmental practices, while providing a safe context in which to encounter God's beautiful creation. Campers will have an opportunity to learn about organic gardening, animal care, and creative cooking. They will also participate in traditional camp activities including swimming, canoeing, arts and crafts, fishing, campfires, and field games. The Bellwether Farm staff is invested in the life of every camper, seeking to inspire future generations to become passionate leaders in the world around them. Registration is now available!
