City of Toledo Department of Public Utilities
March 26, 2020 Dear Downtown Property Owner/Business Manager, Due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Stay-at-Home Order, many businesses in the downtown area have shut down and many employees are working from home. As such, the City of Toledo and the Toledo Waterways Initiative team for the Downtown Storage Basin project have decided to perform the permanent pavement restoration for the intersection of Adams and Superior Streets under a full traffic closure. This change from a two-phase operation to a full closure will significantly reduce the construction timeframe for the intersection restoration. As previously informed, the work will begin on Monday, March 30, 2020, weather permitting. The temporary pavement will be removed and construction operations for placing the new permanent pavement, as well as curbs, sidewalks, pedestrian curb ramps, etc., will follow. Your continued patience with the construction is appreciated. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me at (419) 936-3671. You may also contact the City’s Project Engineer, David Selhorst, at (419) 727-2615. Thank you,
Julie Cousino, P.E. Program Administrator, Toledo Waterways Initiative Department of Public Utilities
