PRODUCTION STAFF BIOGRAPHIES Mr. Justin Flowers (Director) joined Trinity Valley School as Middle School Drama Teacher in August of 2018. Mr. Flowers served the previous seven years as drama teacher at W.C. Stripling Middle School in Fort Worth. Since 2006, Mr. Flowers has served as an educational director at Stage West Theater, where he leads classes for pre-k through adult students and acts as a director in their summer conservatory program. In addition to teaching, Mr. Flowers works frequently in Fort Worth stage productions. Mr. Flowers holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Texas Wesleyan University. Mrs. Ashley Owen (Music Director) is in her eighth year teaching Music at Trinity Valley School. This is Mrs. Owen’s fifth year to direct music for the 7th-8th grade musical, and she has directed the music for Drama Club musicals since she has been here. Prior to joining TVS, Mrs. Owen taught eight years of Middle School Choir and had the opportunity to conduct district-wide 250 voice choirs on the Bass Hall stage. Mrs. Owen also taught Elementary School Music for eight years and had a private piano studio for 13 years. She enjoys singing in her church choir and ringing in the handbell choir, after having been the Director of Music for Saginaw United Methodist Church for 12 years. Mrs. Owen holds a Bachelor of Music from TCU and has many graduate hours from SMU Music as well. Mr. VanAnthony Williams (Technical Director) started working at TVS in August of 2018. Mr. Williams served as Theatre Production Manager at Arts Council of Fort Worth, Adjunct Professor at TCU, Technical Director at African American Repertory Theatre in Dallas, and Deputy Production Manager at Carnival Corporation. Mr. Williams holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in theatre production from Tarleton State University. Mr. Williams had the privilege of working with TVS students while the Theatre Production Manager for the Arts Council of Fort Worth. He enjoyed seeing the spark of inspiration in the students and looks forward to that every day. Ms. Marily Gonzalez (Assistant Technical Director) is in her first full year as Assistant Technical Director at Trinity Valley School. Ms. Gonzalez has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Texas State University. Ms. Flower Avila (Stage Manager) has worked on multiple musicals with TVS. Ms. Avila has worked in the DFW area as a Stage Manager and Stage Hand for over seven years. She is currently working with Stage West Theatre’s education programming and with Six Flags Over Texas as an entertainment technician. Ms. Avila holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from Texas Wesleyan University. Mrs. Christi Lea (Choreographer) is Co-Director of the award winning Bruce Lea Dance Factory. She has been a professional performer and teacher for the past 20 years. Mrs. Lea has performed with the Charlie Daniels Band in concert, was a featured dancer at Bally’s Hotel in Las Vegas and is Co-Choreographer of the Miss Texas Scholarship Pageant. Mrs. Lea, along with her husband Bruce, teaches at 1012 dance conventions throughout the country every year.
