frequent asked questions When should I send out my invites? Most of the traditional documentation on weddings will say that you should send out your invitations eight weeks before your wedding date, but about three to four months is a more practical window to aim for. This gives guests more notice, enables you to confirm numbers and gives better accommodation opportunities to those who need it. And the rest of my stationery? There will be items such as your order of service, or your seating plan that can’t be finalized until much closer to your wedding date. These will be scheduled in for delivery to you closer to your big day. Do you offer samples? All of the designs you see on the Trio Creative website have been made uniquely for a couple and their wedding day. If you would like a sample of any of the invitations, there is a $15 charge. This will be deducted from your final bill when you place an order. Please contact us for details. Most companies have templates. Do you have templates? Not really. We will start your wedding invites from scratch and won’t try and squeeze your ideas into a template. That said, if you see something you like on our website we can replicate it for you, and refine it to fit with your wedding style. We do have a couple invitations we created as samples that you are more then welcome to choose from as well. When should I order my invitations? We recommend you send out your invites 3–4 months before the day of your wedding or special event, and allow a further 3–4 months for design and production. So ideally, you need to place your order 6–8 months before your wedding day. If you are getting married at a particularly busy time of the year, or you have left it a bit late, then we recommend you also send out a save the date card. If you are really short of time then we offer an express service. How much of everything should I order? It’s very important to get these figures right! For invites, work from your guest list. Remember you will only need one per couple/family, but its best to add a few extra on to your total to allow for mistakes, that person you might have forgotten, to fill a space if someone can’t make it, and of course one to keep as a memento! We would recommend ordering an extra 10% of your total of invites. For items such as your order of service, we recommend one per couple plus a few extras. We can go through all your items with you to get your figures just right.
