ESCORTING THE CURIOUS ON HERITAGE TRAVEL SINCE 1992

www.heritagetoursllc.com

Heritage Tours specializes in travel that emphasizes history, local culture, and heritage. “Edutravel – where seeing is understanding” is our mission, to show our travelers the wonders both man-made and natural of the world around us, and to provide value that people could not obtain traveling on their own.

TOURS OPEN TO INDIVIDUALS

This is a hallmark of our tours: providing speakers, guides, sites, experiences and information that make a difference. We create and escort group tours that are customized to the destination, timing, budget and content desired by the group leaders who are our clients. We have no pre-set departures or fixed-in-stone itineraries. We work with group leaders rather than with individual travelers. Occasionally, however, we create tours where the sponsors welcome the public to register in addition to the members of their organization.

MEMORABLE MEETINGS

This Spring 2023 edition of TRIPinfo Quarterly Digital Magazine is dedicated to Memorable Meetings. In it you will find 63 meeting sites across the country ideal for your group. Each is unique, assuring you and your fellow travelers will have great memories of the event!

Several fine media companies detail the latest, greatest, largest meetings facilities and hotels around the world...dedicated to supporting large business meetings, conventions, and events. We respect them, but what TRIPinfo.com Online + Weekly Newsletter + Quarterly Digital Magazine provide is different.

Instead, we provide easy, fast, unique facility comparison for 12 segments of group planners that plan leisure group trips. Together smaller events, wedding, international, agent, student, military, fraternal, reunion, team, religious, and motorcoach – friends group trips – comprise ~24% of USA travel – lots of smaller gatherings!

National & regional meetings are attracted to cities with big meetings facilities. Bringing people together from a wide area needs good infrastructure, like major airports! But this issue is dedicated to neat facilities that are within a comfortable, scenic drive from those big airports – yet off the beaten path, for great fun & value!

Average Year Founded: 1955

Average Year Founded simply adds all the years together and divides by the number of Meetings sites. In 1955, Jim Henson builds the first version of Kermit the Frog. Ray Kroc opens the first McDonald’s in Illinois. Disneyland opens in Anaheim, CA, and the Vietnam war begins between North and South Vietnam.

Median Year Founded: 1983

Median Year Founded sorts our 63 Meetings Venues into date founded and finds the one in the middle. There are 31 founded prior to or in 1983 and 31 after. In 1983, the 1st episode of M*A*S*H airs, becomes the most watched TV broadcast. The 9th G7 summit is in Williamsburg, VA. Microsoft Word is first released. President Ronald Reagan creates Martin Luther King, Jr. Day!

Mode of Year Founded: 1995

Mode of Year Founded is the date that appears most often in our roster. In 1995 Austria, Finland and Sweden joined the European Union. The World Trade Organization was founded. An Oklahoma City bombing killed 168 people. Microsoft released Windows 95 and eBay was founded.

We hope you find this a fun collection of Memorable Meeting sites! This issue is designed to be ongoing, useful reference for leisure group meeting ideas. We hope it is helpful in discovering that many of these spots may be along your way! And don’t interesting, easy-to-access, just off the beaten path, venues make leisure group meetings memorable?

Memorable Meeting Sites

For your next meeting, reunion or group getaway, consider one of the following 63 meeting venues that will stimulate group interaction as well as create lasting impressions. In addition to a variety of types of meeting facilities, each property offers a multitude of on-site amenities plus recommended attractions, tours and activities nearby.

Each listing includes the following information for planners:

Meetings Space Information:

Number of Hotel Rooms

Total Square Feet of Meeting Space

Number of Meeting Rooms

Maximum Theater Seating Capacity

Maximum Banquet Seating Capacity

Number of Restaurants & Bars

Things to Do on the Property or Nearby: These are popular amenities and activities located on the property or attractions that are nearby, suitable for groups to see or do.

To find out about other meeting sites, please visit our Meetings Tables online. Use the thumbnail meeting facility specs to plan and contact the properties directly.

Have a great TRIP!

Helpful Hint: Seating Arrangements and Capacities

Meeting and conference facilities typically offer several types of seating configurations to accommodate meeting needs. Here are rules of thumb for Theater Style and Banquet Style and the number of seats required for set up in a sample room size. Click here to see other seating styles.

Theater Style

Seating capacity for a freestanding theater or when chairs are in rows without tables is typically one seat per 9 square feet. For example, this 1,000-square foot room handles 100 seats in a theater set up.

Banquet Style

Seating capacity for a room set for meal functions or small group collaboration is typically one seat per 12 square feet. This 1,000-square foot room handles 80 seats banquet style.

Rising above a scene rich with extraordinary wildlife, pristine lakes, and alpine terrain, the Teton Range stands as a monument to the people who fought to protect it. These are mountains of the imagination. Mountains that led to the creation of Grand Teton National Park where you can explore over two hundred miles of trails, float the Snake River, and enjoy the serenity of this remarkable place. – National Park Service
