FAMILY ACTIVITIES Stop by the Merry Maker Stations located throughout the neighborhood from 12-3pm to create musical instruments, zany headbands, and other fun crafts! Then, take your new instruments for a spin with the Merry Maker Community Parade through Recreation Park, featuring local brass musicians and YOU. Paraders will gather at the corner of Seminary and Laurel between 3-4pm. While you wait, practice your rhythm at the Percussion Petting Zoo. Parade will run from 4-4:30 pm. These stations are especially for the littlest Porchfesters, but all are welcome! Washer Necklaces with Girl Scouts (12-3pm) 143 Leroy St. (between Beethoven/Laurel) Make your very own shiny and shimmery washer necklace to show off while you hop from porch to porch! Zany Headbands with Binghamton Public Library (12-3pm) Johnson Ave. (between Laurel/Millard) The streets will be extra spiffy full of unique zany headbands made by Porchfesters young and old! Stop by to design your own! Musical Instruments with the Discovery Center (12-3pm) Bennett Ave. (between Millard/Chestnut) For all our Porchfest Performers in Training: create your own musical instrument! Take it for a spin during the Merry Maker Community Parade. Learn more at this station.
Percussion Petting Zoo with the Memory Maker Project (3-4pm) Recreation Park (by Laurel/Seminary) Bang a drum, shake a maraca, wiggle a tambourine! Test out different percussion instruments while waiting for the Merry Maker Community Parade to begin! Merry Makers Community Parade (4-4:30pm.)
