“JEFFERSON RESIDENCE”
Miami,FL
2019- 2022
Professional Project
Firm: Aurora Farewell Architects
This project is a private residence in Miami Beach, Miami. The work involved complete redesign and gut renovation of an existing apartment. The bespoke design focused on clean, crisp strokes that highlighted the space through dashes of color and textured surfaces. There is a lot attention to detail, especially within the private spaces like bedrooms and bathrooms, in order to elevate the client’s experience.
My work for the project involved making the design and construction drawing sets, create client presentations and 3D renders. I was also working on color pallets, fixtures, and material selections through collages and 3D views.

Private Residence, Staten Island, NY 2020 (ongoing)
Professional Project
Firm: JAM Architecture
This project was a private townhouse residence for the Disalvo family. This is an ongoing project that involves redesigning of an existing building in Staten Island for a family of four. The site is situated on a hilly terrain wherein the rear part of the house’s basement opens into a private deck and backyard. The house features a unique style that is inspired from post colonial architecture, while maintaining a modern and sleek aesthetic that keeps up with current times.

“WELLMAN RESIDENCE”
Monterey, Massachusetts
2020- Ongoing
Professional Project
Firm: Zac Culbreth Architects
This residential project involves the design and construction of an additional wing for a home, in addition to minor renovations of the existing space. The extension adds a beautiful living space, a large open kitchen, the master bedroom suite, garage, and a basement area with a personal gym. The building is structurally very complex, with asymmetrical sloping roofs at varying heights and centerlines. The 15.5 acre site is hilly and sprawling, and the design brings the asymmetry into the building’s relationship with the sloping grade. In the interiors, the exposed wood beams and high ceilings provide the home with a modern farmhouse feel. My work involved design, and construction drawings using AutoCAD, and 3D visualizations using Sketchup and Lumion. I was also involved in creating structural drawings with a consultant, as well presentations for the client.

“CAMINO RESIDENCE”
Orinda, CA
2019- 2022
Professional Project
Firm: Aurora Farewell Architects
This project involves the design of a 4170 square feet single-floor family residence located in the Orinda Country Club, California. Originally built in 1954, the building is redesigned to retain the essence of the original structure while creating a modern and artistic space for the residents. The linear building is spread over a vast site, and is situated on top a hill with sprawling views and steps down to a private pool. The interiors take advantage of the light, and highlight the space using geometric patterns and bold colors. My responsibilities included preparing the design and construction drawings, as well as working with the firm’s principle on the material and fixture choices that translated into 3D visualizations for the client.

“CASE RESIDENCE”
Single Family Residence, Lenox Hill, New York City
2020 (ongoing)
Professional Project
Firm: JAM Architecture
This project was a private apartment for the Stacey Case family. This ongoing project reimagines an upper east side apartment to introduce a more modern style to the traditional architecture of the space. The following drawings represent some of the construction drawings I did as a part of the firm.
“BOUTIQUE MOTEL”
North Adams, Massachusetts
2020- ongoing Professional Project Firm: Zac Culbreth Architects
This project reimagines the existence of motels that have historically served a practical purpose alone, without much involvement of thoughtful design. The idea is to incorporate comfort, aesthetic appeal and quality of experience into the lives of travelers by creating a beautiful accommodation.
This project is in conjunction with an existing pizza place that has created a name for itself in the locality. The concept of the motel is inspired from a clean and practical approach of pragmatic resolution of spaces while providing the luxury of a carefully curated space. The choice of materials, and geometry of the structure are both resonant of the context and unconventional.
“FIREHOUSE REDESIGN”
Berkshires, Massachusetts
2020- ongoing
Professional Project
Firm: Zac Culbreth Architects
This project is a unique project that transforms a firehouse from the early 1900s into a modern commercial space, while retaining its authenticity of structure and material usage. The new functions include an office space, a car showroom and the necessary auxiliary facilities for client interactions. The idea is to utilize the large scale of the spaces while bridging traditional and modern architecture.
These images represent some of the rendered views for visualizing the new spaces. The software used here are Sketchup and Enscape.
“TOTEM FOR THE CITY”
Fire Station No. 1, Ann Arbor 2017
Academic Project (Individual)
Instructor: Malcolm McCullough
This institutional project is an investigation into the complex workings of a fire station, particularly a busy one located in the heart of the city. Some of the challenges that were faced during the design process were the compactness of the site, the complicated network of roads and junctions surrounding the building and improving the spatial quality of such a utilitarian building. The idea behind the design was to create an elegant structure that the people of the city can relate to mentally and visually, especially while passing by it everyday. At the same time, the design was an inside out approach wherein there was a focus on improving the lifestyles of the fire people within this compact building, which serves as their relaxing abode when they’re not outside risking their lives and engaging in intense physical strain.

New Vernaculars, Annecy 2018
Group: Trisha Das, Nicole Butcher, Ruixin Chen, Qiaoer Ma Instructors: Jono Sturt, Clement Blanchet
This project explores the vernacular architecture of Annecy, a small but popular tourist city in the south of France. The goals of the project were to counter the urban sprawl and scattered development that caused a disparity between the traditional and modern architecture of the city. The conceptual design that was developed on a city scale, achieves this, by reimagining the traditional canals of the old city, developing community friendly street edges and densifying the city vertically and horizontally to cater to the needs of the future. This project has been exhibited both in Annecy and Paris, under the name , ‘Annecy, nouvelle formes d’architecture vernaculaire’ (New Vernaculars).

“INFINITE EXPERIENCE” An Immersive Labyrinth 2019
Group: Trisha Das, Siqi Tang, Ruixin Chen Matias del Campo and Sandra Manninger
This project explores the world of neural networks and image transfer algorithms to create an immersive labyrinth for the users, where the experiences are enhanced using virtual and augmented reality technologies. The primary modelling tool used is Autodesk Maya that is combined with Google’s Deep Dream software and maze generating softwares for texture mapped and projected environments on the space.
The mazes have been generated using AI and human collaboration, and by using Image Transfer technology. This has been combined with projections of the earlier generated maya models using image transfer tools. The maya models are the digital ornamentation which provide the maze with a unique character.
The model represents the dual expression of abstractness rounds of image transfer, along with the Human-AI
abstractness of the background derived by multiple Human-AI collaborated maze walls rendered in vinyl.
“DETROIT 2.0”
Housing in the Age of Cyborgs, Detroit 2018
Group: Trisha Das, Sigen Chen, Aaradhana Aiyappa
Instructors: El Hadi Jazairy, U. Sean Vance
This futuristic project explores housing development in the city that makes use of the interstitial spaces and connects the city’s transportation networks to the residential aspect of it. The design involves suspension of the structure over a highway while making use of the residual spaces for public usage. The presence of modular housing units that fit into the structure allow for speedy construction and flexibility of spaces. The idea was to have a forward looking approach and prepare the residential landscape of Detroit for different scenarios.
The design includes a sonic tunnel, a parking structure and glass enclosed hydroponic public garden, all of which are connected to Detroit waterfront by a public axis.

“EXPERIMENTAL HAVEN”
Engineering Laboratory, Kanpur
2016
Individual Project Guide: Shireish Malpani
This project is the proposal for a new buiding for the campus of the Indian Institute of Technology in Kanpur, India. The idea was to understand and appreciate the organization of a strictly technical and academic building but also to create interesting spatial experiences for the faculty, students and other users of the building. The design was also heavily inspired from the architectural context of the campus and aimed at respecting it, because it belonged to a valuable process of evolution of modern architecture in India.
The spaces were conceived from a viewpoint of human experience while functioning efficiently as experimental laboratories. There was a play of open and semi open spaces, co-existing with enclosed technical spaces to create a comfortable learning atmosphere for the students. One of the other aims was also to prevent cutting of trees on the site by incorporating most of them into the design.

BASE CONCEPTS
NATIONAL LIBRARY, Tainan, Taiwan 2018
Summer Internship, Ricky Liu and Associates
Supervisors: Ricky Liu, Ben Shah
The project was a competition for the National Library in Tainan city. In the past this firm has always been one of the top contenders for the design competitions and this was no exception. I was fortunate enough to have my concept design chosen out of a lot of ideas in the office, to inspire the final design of this space. One of the initial ideas was to have an iconic structure for the city of Tainan which did not have any real architectural focal point that the people could connect to. The concept was to create these new eyes towards the world, whose foundation began with the library which is an eptiome of knowledge and education. These ideas were taken into consideration by the principal who then went to develop the design into a combination of a central reading and storage space acting as the pivot, surrounded by the more interactive and public spaces.

ABSTRACT INSTALLATION, Goa, India
2013 Group Project
Instructor: Parul Kiri Roy
Assagao is a small, pristine town in the state of Goa which is nestled in the forests and hills, away from the more commercial places that are especially popular among tourists. This project aims to capture the essence of Assagao by presenting a labyrinth of trees with the tiny houses floating about in the space representing the indigenous Goan homes. These homes like many other traditional homes in Goa are a representation of the fusion of Konkani (the region where Goa is located) and Portuguese architecture (Goa was a Portuguese colony). This installation has a minimalist approach towards depicting the density of the natural environment of the town with the man-made architecture co-existing respectfully without marring the natural beauty of the place.
