What: CampLC When: Tomorrow, Wednesday 2/26 from 7:00 am - 2:15 pm *You can come any time throughout the day (team plan, personal plan, lunch, etc.). Where: Learning Commons

Format: The Learning Commons will be divided into multiple learning spaces: Relax by the campfire enjoying Open Studio, where you can spend time digging deeper into something you’ve been meaning to explore (see ideas below). Visit the Brainstorming Area and provide input regarding the current Special Education model, Summer PD ideas, and what makes Nagel a School to Watch. In the Prezi area: You can spend time growing your Personal Learning Environment by checking out some of the Blogs posted HERE or HERE, checking out your Twitter Feed, or just curling up with the latest issue of the Middle School Journal. Enjoy some comfy furniture in the back of the LC as we investigate maximizing our use of Google Chrome. Learn some tips and tricks including how to customize Chrome using bookmarks, extensions, and apps so you can organize yourself and help your students.

Not sure what you might spend your time on? Here are a few ideas for Open Studio. NowComment – Mary Moore will be available during 5th period to assist those in Open Studio.

Schoology Self-Paced Modules - Brad Suder will be available during 6th period to assist those in Open Studio. Allow students to move through a course at their own pace, giving each student the chance to learn at their own rate while still learning the same content. Instagram for Education - Instagram is an online photo sharing and social networking service. It enables users to take pictures and apply digital filters to them and then share them on social networking sites. Check out these posts HERE, HERE, & HERE.


Diigo – Never had the time to really dig into Diigo? Check out the following to begin exploring: What is Diigo? A Diigo Guide Everything Diigo and Annotate, Archive, Organize Getting Started with Teacher Created Videos: This is a detailed Google Doc with lots of resources pertaining to the “How To” of a Flipped classroom BUT if you scroll down to “Creating Your Own Content? Here’s Equipment You’ll Need” You will see a wealth of information regarding the tools you can use to get started creating your own instructional videos. Open Studio is for you! This is independent or collaborative work time where you can spend time working on the topic/tool of your choice. The time might be used to explore tools or to dig deeper into something you were introduced to at an earlier time. You can also work through one of the following Schoology courses or spend time in Jostle. You can also explore the following self-paced courses/groups in Schoology: •
