Improved Course Structure The new course will be ready before the beginning of Quarter 2. We will add your course to Schoology and make you an administrator. You will need to add students as members (or share access code with them). Next Steps: Are there any other issues we need to address? Known issues with Course 1: 1) Dividing up the work to populate the Schoology course caused a lack of consistency in the Modules. 2) The structure of the course does not incorporate the “I Won’t Stand For” theme. There is confusion regarding the goals of the course and the final product. These items are not incorporated in the Schoology course. People who were not on the development team felt the communication on the day before school started was unclear. 3) Some of the InfOhio content is inappropriate for the middle grades, the content does not engage the students and there is not a connection built between the content and what was determined to be the overall theme of the course (I Won’t Stand For…). 4) There have been countless technologyrelated glitches Please share any supplemental lessons by adding them to the Literacy Course Folder on Google Drive. We are looking for ideas/lessons to help students with writing the personal narrative for Course 2
