Having grown up in the Swiss Alps, we have been skiing and snowboarding since an early age. Over the past years, we have developed a passion for freeriding which we transfer into our clothing line. We strive for ultimate comfort and innovation in our products, giving you the freedom to make the most of whatever tarrain comes your way. Focusing on this goal, we constantly search for new innovative materials as well as the most technical approach how a product may be crafted. We are freeride enthusiasts - just as you are. So we know how important it is to wear the correct clothing combination at a given weather condition. We developed and tested our layering products using them while freeriding. The layering systems offer you freedom of movement, technical fabric function and is concepted as follows:

How much insulation do you need? It’s a very individual question. Each body has a different need and insulation also depends on weather and what kind of activity you are going after. We trust in Pinneco ® paddings and S.Café ® Fleece textiles. These materials work really well in connection with the breathable shell layers and will give you the needed extra warmth and insulation.

Als Freerider wissen wir was wir wirklich brauchen um uns da draussen am Berg wohl zu fühlen. Wir verarbeiten verschiedene Materialien die je nach Bedürfnis und Einsatzbereich zusammengestellt werden können und optimal funktionieren. Diese Bekleidungs-Schichten unterteilen wir wie folgt:

Wie viel Isolation darf es sein? Eine sehr individuelle Frage. Jeder Mensch hat eigene Bedürfnisse, und je nach Wetter und Einsatzbereich benötigt man eine wärmere, oder eine leichtere Isolation. Wir arbeiten mit Pinneco ® Fütterungen und S.Café ® Fleece Textilien. All unsere Isolationsprodukte funktionieren optimal mit den wasserfesten Shell Produkten und geben dir die Wärme ab, die du für deine Aktivität benötigst.

Base Layer The product that is directly on your skin should give you a warm and cosy feeling. Our underwear is made with a carefully sourced Merino wool. The supply chain of our Merino wool products is done with great focus on ecological values and animal friendly farming standards. Merino wool will keep you warm, even when wet, and it won’t smell.

Der Schutz vor den Elementen Wind, Wasser und Kälte steht bei unseren Membran-Produkten im Mittelpunkt. Wir arbeiten mit der Trizar™ Membran Technologie, die neue Wege geht, und sich die Physik des Emissionsvermögens zu Nutze macht. Die Trizar™ Membrane wird mit Wärme-absorbierenden und Wärme-reflektierenden Materialen angereichert. Dadurch wird die Restwärme des Körpers genutzt um die Funktion des Feuchtigkeitstransports nach Aussen zu optimieren. Zustätzlich sorgen die Infrarot-reflektierende Elemente in der Trizar™ Membrane dafür, dass die Körperwärme innerhalb des Kleidungsstücks erhalten bleibt um so den Körper warm zu halten.

Die Erste Bekleidungsschicht soll vor allem angenehmen Tragkomfort bieten. Wir haben unsere Unterwäsche aus einer sehr hochwertigen Merino Schurwolle. Die ökologische Produktion sowie die artgerechte Tierhaltung auf die unser Lieferant grossen Wert legt, widerspiegelt sich in einer aussergewöhnlich weichen und angenehmen Qualität. Merino Wolle hält auch in feuchtem Zustand warm und riecht nicht, da der Schweissgeruch auf natürliche Weise neutralisiert wird.

Protection from elements such as Wind, Water and Cold is the primary task for our shell products. Penguin colllaborates with Trizar™, a highly functional membrane technology that uses emissivity to keep your body warmer and generating more breathability. Powders made of quartz and other natural elements that either reflect or absorb your body heat are blended into the membrane. By absorbing your excess body heat, the membrane works more efficiently, which creates higher breathability (moisture evaporation). Additionally, the infra-red reflecting elements in the Trizar™ membrane create a warm and comfortable climate inside your garment by reflecting the energy back to your body. On the outside of our garments, we use a solid plain-weave fabric that's impregnated and therefore durable waterrepellent.

Key element of our 3 layer products is the optimized breathability through the newly developed Trizar ® membrane. By absorbing your excess body heat, the membrane increases its activity and breathes more efficiently. Additionally, the infra-red reflecting elements in the Trizar membrane generate a comfortable climate inside your jacket. Another value of this jacket is the fact that it's constructed and sealed though the technology called "Multi Layer Fusion", which eliminates the use of seamtape and decreases the thickness of the actual seams.

Der Hauptfokus unserer 3 Lagen Produkte liegt in der optimierten Atmungsfunktionalität durch die verarbeitete Trizar ® Membrane. Die Körperwärme wird dabei genutzt um die Membrane zu aktivieren und die Funktion des Feuchtigkeitstransports nach Aussen zu unterstützen. Männer 3 Lagen Trizar ® Shell Latzhose (Art. 117) Unsere 3 Lagen Trizar ® Hosen wurden mit einem abnehmbaren Latz kreiert. Die Hose kann am selben Reissverschluss auch mit unseren Jacken verbunden werden. Die Hose ist eher weit geschnitten um mehr Bewegungsfreiheit, auch beim Telemarken, zu gewähren. An den Beinöffnungen haben wir einen Kantenschutz aus Schöller Kevlar, in der Farbe der Hose eingearbeitet.

We used the stretchable Pinneco® padding at the front and in the seat, and added more stretchable fleece on the sides to gain more freedom of movement.

We created this all-time-favorite zipped hoodie in a smooth S.Café® marl yarn. It's a technical item, yet nice to wear casually. The product was made from textile that's ecologically processed and dyed and therefore got the Bluesign® certificate. The coffee grounds that are melted into the Polyester help to neutralize smell and odors. The inside is super soft and keeps you warm on or off the mountain.

Our vest serves as extra layer that’s suitable if you need a little more insulation in the core of your body and at your neck. The product was made with soft brushed knit fabric for a dry and versatile warmth. The fabric we have used is Bluesign ® certified. Coffee grounds were blended into the fabric's yarn and generate an antibacterial effect by neutralising smell.

Die Turtle Necks sind der ideale Begleiter beim Fahren bei Temperaturen um den Gefrierpunkt. Ein eng anliegender Kragen bietet Schutz vor Wind und Kälte. Weiter verfügt das Produkt über zwei verschliessbare Taschen und Daumenaussparungen.

Unsere Westen sind beliebt wenn etwas mehr Isolation an Körper und Hals gefragt ist. Ein handlicher Begleiter, und auf kleinstem Raum im Rucksack verstaubar. Wir haben für den Stoff ein Garn verwendet, das mit Kaffesatz angereichert wurde. Der Kaffee hat einen antibakteriellen Effekt und neutralisiert Gerüche, und muss daher auch nicht so oft gewaschen werden wie herkömmliche Polyester Produkte. Das Material wurde umweltfreundlich produziert und von Bluesign ® zertifiziert.

Merino wool is a very popular and natural fiber for baselayer and insulation products used during outdoor activities. We have selected to work with a specialised supplier, who processes a very high quality wool and processes that wool into an innovative yarn. The core of that yarn is made from durable and fast drying Polyamide, while the Merino fibre is spun around it. This results in a more durable textile structure, and will ultimately increase the lifespan of your Merino product.

Wir erarbeiten unsere Unterwäsche mit einem spezialisierten Textilhersteller, der seine Rohmaterialen nachhaltig auswählt und diese nach ökologischen Prinzipien verarbeitet. Die Wolle wird dabei in einem innovativen Verfahren um einen Polyamid-kern gesponnen. Dadurch gewinnt die Textilstruktur and Stabilität, was sich letztendlich in einem verlängerten Lebenszyklus des Merino Produkts widerspiegelt.

We work our Merino baselayer products with a very smooth 17.5 micron wool fiber. We source our wool only from “mulesing”-free sheep and make sure the sheep are being farmed in respect to ecological standards of both the animal and the land. The wool contained in our products comes from the Southern Hemnisphere, New Zealand, Tasmania and Patagonia, where the Merino sheep produce a rich quality of wool. We aim only for the finest of wool fibres in order to creat an unparralelled softness and handfeel in our Merino products.

Unsere Unterwäsche besteht aus einer speziell weichen und feinen Merino Schurwolle (17,5 Mircon). Die Wolle stammt ausschliesslich von "mulesing"-freien Schafen, und es ist uns wichtig, dass unsere Lieferanten die Merino Schafe wie auch dem Boden nachweislich nach ökologischen Standards bewirtschaften. Diesem strengen Auswahlkriterium verdanken wir es, dass sich die Faser aus der unsere Merino Produkte bestehen abhebt. Die Wolle beziehen wir von Farmen aus der Südlichen Hemnisphäre (Neuseeland, Tasmanien und Patagonien), wo die beste Merinowoll-Qualität zu finden ist. Wir verarbeiten die feinsten Wollfasern in unseren Merino Produkten und erreichen dadurch ein unvergleichbares Traggefühl.

Our vest serves as extra layer that’s suitable if you need a little more insulation in the core of your body and at your neck. The product was made with soft brushed knit fabric for a dry and versatile warmth. The fabric is Bluesign ® certified. Coffee grounds were blended into the fabric's yarn and generate an antibacterial effect, neutralising smell.

The light weight insulation turtle neck is useful companion when riding at temperatures around freezing point. A tight turtle neck keeping throat warm provides wind shelter. Two zipped pockets can be used for storage and the sleeves are constructed with thumbholes. Die Turtle Necks sind der ideale Begleiter beim Fahren bei Temperaturen um den Gefrierpunkt. We created this all-time-favorite zipped hoodie in a smooth S.Café® marl yarn. It's a technical item, yet nice to wear casually. The product was made from textile that's ecologically processed and dyed and therefore got a Bluesign® certificate. The coffee grounds that are melted into the Polyester help to neutralize smell and odors. The inside is super soft and keeps you warm on or off the mountain.

Wir haben diesen Lieblings-Hoodie in einem neuen S.Café® Mélange-Garn gefertigt, der extrem angenehm zu tragen ist. Es ist ein technisches Kleidungssstück, das in der Freizeit nicht zu sportlich wirkt. An den Beinöffnungen haben wir einen Kantenschutz aus Schöller Kevlar, in der Farbe der Hose eingearbeitet.
