ITINERARY January 11-13, 2013

The Splendor of

Vijayanagar Vijayanagar went from being a barren wasteland to a green locale in just 15 years. JSW’s sustained efforts have resulted in nearly double the annual rain fall. You can expect an average temperature of 17°C to 24°C. A few warm clothes will serve you well.

Welcome Flyers The Jindal Vijayanagar Airport at Vidyanagar, is the first private sector airfield for a corporate to be opened for commercial operations. On January 11, once you land, you can check in at the Hyatt Place Hampi.

Happening Hyatt Located amidst the lush green ambiance of the Vidyanagar Township, Hyatt Place Hampi is an upscale, select-service hotel designed for multi-tasking travelers.

A Lavish Spread Lunch will be served between 1:00 pm and 2:30 pm. Head to Converter; the swanky restaurant at Hampi House. You can expect a truly delectable spread.

Tea Time

Temptations

There will be a scrumptious tea waiting for you at Hyatt Place on all days of your stay between 4:00 pm and 5:00 pm

Get Together When the clock strikes 5:30 pm we will assemble at Kaladham. Feast your eyes on the one of its kind art precinct that is set to be the platform for all artists to engage in a dialogue and find expression for their thoughts.

There will be an ice–breaker session to get to know each other better and a group photo at Akashmanch, the gorgeous Open Air Theatre. Sangita & Sajjan Jindal will welcome you in their inimitable style and you will then be whisked off on a guided tour of the unique Place Hampi exhibit.

A Scarlet Affair Dinner and Cocktails will be served at 8:00 pm. Karnataka’s cuisine is famous for being fiery and flavourful. So, to complement that, let’s wear a touch of red and blend in with the chilly-licious spread.

And you’ll also be dished up the best accompaniment to food; laughter. Cyrus Broacha, India’s last word in cynical humour, will regale you with a host of sharp jokes. So get ready to giggle away.

Home of History After a good night’s rest, let’s begin the day on a historical note. On January 12, you’ll start for the ruins of Hampi at 9:00 am. Hampi was once the capital of the Vijayanagar Empire and its ruins reflect the glory of that golden age. The sun will be shining bright, so make sure you carry sunblock, cap and shades. The ruins also make for an interesting trek so slip on some walking shoes and casual clothes.

You’ll see the legendary Elephant stables, the Queen’s Bath, the Royal Enclosure, the Hazara Rama Temple and the Virupaksha Temple where you can pray. Please wear appropriate clothing for the temple visits. And these gorgeous sights are just half the treat.

Across the Tides We’ll move on to an exciting coracle ride that will take us to the Chandramauleshwar Temple and the Vitthala Temple. The Chandramauleshwar Temple, which you’ll visit next, is especially singular. It signifies eight years of the JSW Foundation’s efforts. The conservation team’s labors to stabilize and restore the stunning Chandramauleshwar Temple have been recognized by UNESCO-Asia Pacific with an Award of Merit for Cultural Heritage Conservation.

Party Time You will then make your way to Jindal Retreat. From 8:00 pm begins an evening of fun and frolic. While a DJ spins some tunes, Meiyang Chang, an idol on stage and off it, will lead you through the various twists and turns of a game of Antakshari.

Celebrate the beauty of black and silver, by dressing yourself in the colours for dinner and cocktails.

Sports Stars On January 13, a new day will see us assembled at the Sports Venue at 9:30 am, where we’ll team up for fun games & sports meet. An appetizing brunch will be at hand to stave off the hunger brought on by exercise.

Farewell Friends 1:30 pm onwards you will be transported to your desired drop of point for departure. We wish you a happy & safe journey and hope you had enough fun to jump at the chance to do it all over again.

Life at JSW To understand JSW a trip to the plant is a must-see. This mammoth operation is not just a Steel and Power plant but it also symbolises sustenance and abundance to the people around. You may register for any tour that suits you at the front desk of the Hyatt Place Hampi on the day you check in. Tour Duration: 2 hours Timings: 11:00 am, 2: 30 pm Blast Furnace: Fuel, ore, and flux are supplied through the top while air is blown into the lower section. The end products are usually molten metal, slag and flue gases.

Cold Rolling Mill: Cold rolling occurs with the metal below its recrystallization temperature (usually at room temperature), which increases the strength via strain hardening up to 20%. Corex: JSW is India’s first steel producer to use this cutting edge technology that uses noncoking coal directly for ore reduction and melting work, eliminating the need for coking plants.
