THE ROUTE
The Gothic Quarter of Barcelona is a route becouse the old streets of the city. We start with the "Basílica Santa María del Pi" and next we will see the "Plaça del Pi" and "Plaza Josep Oriol". We continue until you reach the "Catedral de Barcelona", then, we go trhough under the "Pont del Bisbe" and we going straight on until the "Plaza Sant Jaume".
BASÍLICA SANTA MARIA DEL PI The Basílica Santa Maria del Pi is a important monument for Barcelona. It was create around the II century. It was destroyed in the civil war and rebuild. Now we see the finally build.

The Plaça del Pi is in front of the Basílica. It have some beautiful old stories about his pine.
IN THE PLAร A DEL PI The Plaรงa del Pi include one of the most old guild, the Casa dels Revenedors, a shop of blades, the Ganiveteria Roca and one of the Chocolate famous shop, the Dulcinea.

This place is on the other side, its name come from an important priest of the XVIII century so in the Basílica Santa Maria del Pi where too, him has a chapel.

"Nowadays, this place is the administrative center of the city. There are two important buildings, the “Palau de la Generalitat de Catalunya” and the town Ajuntament de Barcelona. In this square were celebrated a lot of historical events. This square is one of the few open areas of the Gothic quarter.
