Not Just A Prett Face (Degree Show Publication (2013) - http://www.notjustaprettyface2013.co.uk Not Just A Pretty Face is the 2013 Degree Show publication designed and produced in collaboration with another student. In response to past publications we decided against

producing a full colour, A4 sized catalogue and instead wanted to create a more cohesive publication. This was a smaller book, printed on a Risograph duplicator, using only 4 colours,

with a SRA2 fold out jacket / poster. The main concept was to focus on the thought process, ideas and creativity which differentiates us as individuals.

Abe Aesthetic - http://abesmusic.co.uk An online hub/visual manifesto for the band ‘Abe’. Abe has taken the form of audio and music, and this I believe will always be its rawest form, however I was interested in how Abe might

exist in other forms aesthetically. The online platform provides a stage with rollover videos made up of still life arrangements based on the bands collated ideas and thoughts. Animated gif

images and audio players juxtapose in attempt to combine the ‘Abe sound’ with an aesthetic the viewer can begin to interact with and understand.

CAPTCHA Typeface “You can and must understand computers NOW” – Ted Nelson (1974)

This is an extremely open typeface based on the CAPTCHA (Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart).

This involves six different font families all with different warped effects to create a sense of natural overlapping and a wavy baseline

Ping Pong Party (I, II) To raise money for the degree show publication a group decided to exploit the new table tennis table and throw a couple of ping pong events in the evenings. What started out as a

fundraiser ‘Ping Pong Party’ soon grew into an audio / visual project including Graphic Arts students and staff as well as students from other practices. The bats were designed to be laser

cut from plywood, a publication to sell for the second event along with italic ‘Second Gen’ bats, some logos and some projected visuals were also created for both the events.
