Aim of the Competition was to rethink the Vaike Oismae District, born during the Soviet occupation period as a satellite city and now without Identity.

The Design took inspiration from various example of circular cities in history and it gaves a new hierarchy to the neighborhood thanks to the creation of a North to South axis of services containing schools, laboratories, a library and a sports centre. A great “Blue Structure“ incorporate every function, working as an iconic and unifing element for the distrit. Project group: Brainstorming Tron Matteo, Gabriele Scotti

Fourty years after the exhibition, called “Architettura Razionale” remain an interesting moment in the Italian Architectural debate, it was the first one held from the architect Aldo Rossi at the XVth Milano’s Triennale during 1973. Many important international firm and group took part and show their project and design, they were from different school and with conflictual approaches, in the investigation the focus was made on those projects that spoken about space of living, about houses and villas, they were inspirating and they still spark my design. And it is for this reason I researched about that exibition. The Villas were born as an exercise and they were develloped as a new strategy to cut down on free soil overexploitation. Every villa uses the same building strategy and constitution, they were tought as standard pieces, every house is composed by modular items in internal distribution and in architectural components. They suits on different cases of empty areas of San Salvario, a Turin’s quarter which is a XVIII century neighborhood characterized mostly by a very dense urban tissue. Those Villas adaptive process is made by an application of five architectural typology. -gothic lot, vertical development -gothic lot, orizontal development -penthouse -courtyard house -insula house
