Dress to Impress Fascinate A classic piece of racing history, make it your own by adding a modern edge and give the classic fascinator a fresh look.

Cimon Vozzo

Stylist and Blogger @cimon_styling We’ve got the expert advice from stylist and blogger Cimon Vozzo on Spring Racing style. Think classic cuts, balance and a pop of colour.

Classic Cuts I like a beautiful dress just over the knee in length, with a simple pattern. Ensure that you pick a classy dress with no cut outs to keep in with racing etiquette. (Pictured: Acler Argent Lace Maxi Dress)

Convenient Clutches To keep all your essentials in for race day, look for something sleek and classic with an adjustable sleek shoulder strap

It’s in the Pattern With spring comes a feeling of freshness and vibrancy, so the right patterned suit can be a real crowd pleaser. The fit needs to be spot on for that high quality look.

Steve Tilly

Men’s Style Influencer @stevetillystyle For the gentlemen, dapper gent Steve Tilly gave us his top tips for dressing for the races.

SPRING R ACING 2016

Florals, for Spring? Floral ties, squares, socks and suits are a great way to reflect that spring feeling. But there is definitely such a thing as too much floral and mixing and matching. If using a floral tie then the pocket square should be a plain colour. (Pictured: Leoni

or handle, this will keep your hands free for some champagne and of course, a selfie or two. (Pictured: Mimco Exclamation Clutch)

Head to Toe Every girl loves a pair of stilettos, but keep them refined. Think a classic open toe or if you love a closed pair, opt for a pointed high heel. (Pictured: Tony Bianco Alita Heel) Stand Out If you want your headwear to be the ‘Show Stopper’, then keep your accessories fine and minimal. Add a pair of earrings and some wrist wear. Remember, coloured lipstick goes a long way!

Bow Tie it Up Some guys wear ties all week for work, so a great alternative for the races is the bow tie. It’s formal but can be casual depending on the colour or pattern. Every dapper gent should have at least a couple of these in the arsenal. (Picture: M.J. Bale Femi Navy Bow Tie)

Two Tones are Better Than One. A great way to jazz up an outfit is to use pants from one suit and wear a jacket from another. Alternatively, smart chinos can be worn with a suit jacket.

Navy/White Hankie, MJ Bale)

It’s On Your Head One of the best parts of racing fashion is choosing a headpiece that's right for you. Let your personality shine through!

Don't Forget Your Hair Opt for a slick do if you are unsure - instant class. This way you won't worry about fixing it for the whole day!

The Code For example, Derby Day has a strict black and white dress code. Have no idea? Download a racing fashion guide from my website and thank me later!
