One Last Goodbye By: Wanda Wolfe
As you go through high school,
people are gonna try to get you to do something that you don’t want you think it’s all about finding a to do. You may try it because that’s place to fit in. A place to belong. what all your friends are doing. Just Everyone thinks they need to belong to a certain group. High school because your friends are going out drinking, smoking, and partying is not the usual stereotype of the: every weekend doesn’t mean that jocks, cheerleaders, dancers, and the unpopulars that are in different you have to follow suit. Make yourself your own person and decide sub groups. We all have our own groups where we belong. Don’t try who you want to be for yourself, to fit in with people that aren’t who not anyone else. you are. Once you get to senior year, you’re gonna realize that more Don’t try to fit in than half of those friends that you with your freshman year are with people that aren’t started no longer around. That’s just what who you are. happened to me. Freshman year, I had a big group of friends and as high school went on they began to When I entered freshman disappear. Now at the end of senior year, I thought I would establish a group with who I hung out with year, I only talk to maybe three of those friends that I had started and what I did outside of school, with. The ones that stick around but that’s not true. Somewhere when times get rough throughout along the way throughout high high school are the ones that are school, someone or a group of
gonna be there with you graduation day. Cheering you on just like you are gonna be for them. The point is don’t get too caught up in trying to find who you are and what group you should be apart of your freshman year. When senior year comes around, all of those friends may not be there anymore. I learned the hard way. High school is a lot of fun. Take the chance and have fun. It’ll be well worth it. It may be hard when you don’t have all of those friends with you anymore. Just know that when senior year gets there, and you’re walking the stage that you did it all for yourself. Realizing that you didn’t need those friends to get to the place that you are know. Make your high school years what you want them to be. Not anyone else’s dreams. Take the chance and have fun.

opinion Kylie Jenner lip challenge By: Melynda Robinson
om oogle.c g : t i d e cr photo he craze for big lips has never been more real. Ever since Kylie Jenner has gotten lip fillers, constant shade has been thrown her way. During late April, the “Kylie JennerChallenge” started popping up all over Vine, Twitter, and Instagram. The videos/photos show people sucking on cups and shot glasses, maximizing their lip size to the point where it looks like their about to blow up. On the flip side of that, over lining lips and lip plumping devices became very popular over night. Below are pictures of Kylie in 2011 (left) and 2015 (right).

Honestly, what’s the big deal behind her getting lip inejections. There are millions of people who decide to get lip injections every single day. I’m all for natural beauty, but i’m also for respecting someone’s choices. So I don’t know why people are getting so offended. It’s not their lips. What’s crazy is the recognition Jenner is getting for her new lips. Many people, especially in the makeup community, have been raving about her. Let’s be real here, Miss Jenner did not invent full lips. They’ve been around for centuries. So there’s a lot of credit being put out where it’s not due. In response to all of this Jenner stepped up on Twitter, making a statement to everyone. “I want to encourage people/young girls like me to be YOURSELF & not be afraid to experiment w your look,” Jenner tweeted out. All in all, Jenner is gorgeous. Clearly she’s not letting all of this drama get to her. For the most part, people need to keep their comments to themselves. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, but when you go making fun of someone, that’s a line you shouldn’t be crossing. Link to video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1g4M2xnStSw April-May 2015

Growing up, Barbie never

There are hundreds of apps created by ToyTalk in the app store like ‘SpeakaZoo’. SpeakaZoo allows children to interact with various zoo animals. Also requiring parents to authorize and create an account, regarding their data. So I really don’t think the Barbie Doll, which has been around for over fifty years will affect a person’s security any more than a newly developed app. Since there is no definite release date other than this holiday season, Mattel still has time to take this pending doll off the market. I’m pretty sure many of us 90’s kids would’ve loved a talking Barbie Doll. I know I can speak for many people when I say, growing up Barbie was everything. Hopefully Mattel won’t listen to the bad reviews they’re getting and go with the wants of the consumers.
