The concept for this project is flower. The idea is not only creating a bridge for pedestrian, but also creating a platform of forest like structure in the city. This bridge was designed with series of module system, first we designed three decks, and then have it duplicate and rotate to form the shape of this bridge. It may seem like a very complex design, but it only have three modules place it repeatedly.

By using the shape of umbrella as module system, this structure is connecting two museums not only a new extension but also adapt the environment in a balanced way. The new extension between the museums will serve as a connecting gateway between museums, as a shared museum shop and as a technical space.

The concept is to rethink the combination of elements and mixture of geometric shapes in aims of getting a new definition of contemporary agricultural building. Fold different shape of the texture, provide extra visual effect on top of the original shape of the building. Giving the same texture to the windows will introduce the facade into building by utilizing the light. From bottom to top, the texture starts with dark and cool colors like deep blue, dark gray and black then transfer to brighter and warmer color. Those abstract geometries blur and mix with others, eliminate traditional language of architecture.

A research FOA- Ravensbourne College platform and testing ground for the research and exploration of structure, surface tectonics, material assembly and manufacturing in relation to Jean Nouvel- Tokyo Opera House in 1986, a historic precedents and influential contemporary projects. Dedicated to the application of the content of the researched building material, tectonics, construction, use it as a virus (FOA-Ravensbourne College) into a building host (Jean Nouvel- Tokyo Opera House in 1986).

Braided Stair SCI-Arc
The braided stair quite literally begins to braid and loop to essentially avoid intersection entirely. In certain moments, the braid is loosened, so that the stair may slip past the previous tread. In other moments, the braid tightens to create stability. The braided stair refers back to the ideology of the module in the discussion of details. In this instance, the module is the idea of the methodology of braiding.

Our vision of the library is to weave the old alleyways to a new architectural landscape.We want to transform traditional definition of a library from a bookstacking storage to a new community living room by providing vaious citizen’s engaging experiences like natural lights, passive breeze, urban greens with our indoor/outdoor comfort.The structural “connection with the tradition” grid can be used to integrate wind scoops which are oriented to dominant summer winds from the south.
