On arrival in Cape Town, as you enter the arrivals hall, look for an African Travel Inc. representative, holding a sign with your name on it. You will be assisted to your transfer vehicle. Transfer to your hotel with the remaining evening at leisure.

The day begins with a cable car ride up to the summit of the legendary Table Mountain, where you can enjoy breathtaking views. Then discover the picturesque scenery on a Cape Peninsula tour as you drive along the exquisite stretch of coastline. Enjoy lunch at the Cape Point Vineyards before heading back to Cape Town. On your way back, visit the endearing African penguin colony at Boulders Beach. The remainder of the day at leisure. (BL)

This morning, visit Robben Island where Nelson

Mandela was incarcerated for 18 years. This historic landmark and UNESCO site pays tribute to the triumph of freedom and human dignity. Return to your hotel for an afternoon at leisure before meeting your transfer to take you to dinner. This evening, discover GOLD in Cape Town. Feel the heartbeat of this unique African restaurant, as you embark on a taste safari from Cape Town to Timbuktu. Your evening starts with an interactive Djembe drumming session which will get you in tune with the African rhythms and songs of the night. A soothing hand washing ceremony completes your interactive drumming experience. Dinner is a set course menu consisting of Cape Malay cuisine and African cuisine, served by beautifully adorned staff who will explain each dish to you and the country

Delve deeper into South Africa’s turbulent past with a trip to Soweto, a sprawling multicultural metropolis of more than 3.5 million people on the outskirts of Johannesburg. Visit Freedom Square, the Hector Pieterson Memorial and Vilakazi Street, formerly home to both Nelson Mandela and Archbishop Desmond Tutu. After lunch, visit the Apartheid Museum for a deeper look at the humbling and ultimately inspiring journey from the dark days of segregation to Mandela’s release from prison, and his policy of reconciliation rather than retribution. Today, you will be taken on a guided tour of Victoria Falls, one of seven natural wonders of the world. This walking safari takes you through the magnificent rain forest where you are able to view the Cataracts, Livingstone’s statue and a wide variety of birds and plants. This evening, enjoy a buffet dinner at The Boma Restaurant. Traditional customs such as local beer tasting, and pre-dinner hand washing are observed, while the sights and sounds of the evening are accentuated by Ndebele performers who captivate diners with their colourful and energetic songs and dance.
