Your Library
What do you like about your Library? Do you have suggest ions on how t he library service could be improved? If you do not use your local Library why not ?
The County Library would like to hear from you. Mayo County Library invites you to tell us what you think of our service. We are seeking your views on the service today and your views on how you would like to see it develop. The library is working on a 5-year development programme, which will inform the development and the direction of the service until 2021. We are inviting members of the public and interested groups to give their views on the future direction of our service, to tell us what you think of your local library and to let us know how the library can be developed to meet your and your community?s needs. County Librarian Austin Vaughan stated ?The previous plan covered the period 2011 to 2015 and achieved success in a number of areas: free membership, the introduction of eBooks and downloadable audio books, a musical instrument lending service, enhanced children?s services and continued collection and preservation of the written, photographic and oral culture of the county. It also saw the construction and opening of the new library and Cultural centre in Swinford. So to continue this work we are asking everyone to have your say in the future of Mayo Library Service. We need your help to make our service better.? Cathoirleach of Mayo County Council Al McDonnell said ?Mayo County Council recognizes that the public library network is at the centre of communities and submissions are invited from individuals, groups and organizations as to how you wish to see the library service develop in the years ahead. As with the previous plan, of particular interest are submissions from infrequent/non-users of the service. The services of the Kat e Healy public library are provided on the basis of equality of access for all.? A new Help to Buy (HTB) incentive
has been introduced. It is designed to help first-time buyers of newly built homes to assemble the required deposit. It also applies to once-off self-build homes. The Help to Buy scheme provides for a refund of income tax and Deposit Interest Retention Tax (DIRT) paid over the previous 4 tax years. Rules If you are a first-time buyer who either buys or self-builds a new residential property between 19 July 2016 and 31 December 2019, you may be entitled to claim a refund of income tax and DIRT paid over the previous 4 tax years. If you signed a contract to buy a property (or drew down the first tranche of the mortgage for a self-build) before 19 July 2016, you will not qualify for this incentive. If you are buying (or self-building) the property with someone else, they must also be a first-time buyer. You will not qualify if you have previously bought or built a property, either individually or jointly with anyone else, even if you are now separated or divorced from that person. The incentive only applies to properties that are bought or built as the first-time buyer?s home. It does not cover investment properties. Cash buyers do not qualify. You must take out a mortgage of at least 70% of the purchase price (or, for a self-build, 70% of the valuation approved by the mortgage provider). If you signed a contract to buy a property (or drew down the first tranche of the mortgage for a self-build) between 19 July 2016 and 31 December 2016, you may qualify for the Help to Buy incentive on a property costing up to ?600,000. With effect from 1 January 2017, the Help to Buy scheme only applies to properties costing ?500,000 or less. You must occupy the property for 5 years from the date that it is habitable. Tax requirements If you pay tax through PAYE, you must be registered for Revenue?s online myAccount service. If you are a self-assessed taxpayer, you must be registered for the Revenue Online Service ROS. In all cases, you must be fully tax-compliant in respect of the 4 years immediately prior to your claim. If you have not already done so, you will need to complete online Form 12 (PAYE) and Form 11 (self-assessed) in respect of each of those 4 years. You must also pay any outstanding taxes that are due.

Dental Hygiene Tips Proper Brushing - One of the easiest steps to do to help your
teeth keep clean. When brushing your teeth, position the bristles at an angle of 45 degrees near the gum line. Both the gum line and the tooth surface should be in contact with the bristles. Brush the outer surfaces of the teeth using a back-and-forth, up-and-down motion, making sure to be done gently in order to avoid bleeding. To clean the inside surfaces of the teeth and gums, place the bristles at a 45-degree angle again and repeat the back-and-forth, up-and-down motion. Lastly, brush the surfaces of your tongue and the roof of your mouth to remove bacteria, which might cause bad breath. Try to brush at least twice a day to prevent acid buildup from the breakdown of food by bacteria. However, if your work or activities prevent you from doing this, thoroughly rinse your mouth with water after eating to minimize the amount of food that would serve as substrate for the bacteria.
Flossing! - We know, it?s a chore and a lot of times
forgetful after brushing if rushing out the door or heading to bed. However, flossing can help you remove food particles and other detrimental substances that brushing regularly cannot. Flossing allows you to reach deep between your teeth where the toothbrush bristles cannot reach or even mouthwash cannot wash away. We recommend flossing at least once a day.
Dental Practice Belmullet
Visit Your Dentist
You should visit your dentist at least twice a year to have a full hygiene treatment performed. Also at these appointments, a comprehensive exam is taken with x-rays to help detect and prevent future dental treatments from occurring.

What Matter / Cén t-Údar Noah Rose?s work is rooted in a desire to understand, evaluate and find new connections between the past and present, across geopolitical boundaries and different cultural, linguistic, political or religious traditions. Having trained at Manchester Metropolitan University, Rose has worked as a practising artist since 1991, completing over 50 projects made for public spaces outside the gallery in over 80 locations across Britain and Ireland, as well as across continental Europe. In 2014, he was selected to work on the EU 'Changing Tracks' public art project that took place in Mayo, Girona (Catalunya) and Northamptonshire (England). In this exhibition, titled ?What Matter / Cén t-Údar?, Rose explores the power of stones as markers of cultural memory written into the land and as a repository of the language and words we use to signify and emplace power and commemoration.
