Welcome to the TTFCA Inaugural Meet of Champions! On behalf of the Texas Track & Field Coaches Association (TTFCA), it is our great pleasure to welcome you to the TTFCA Inaugural Meet of Champions. The Inaugural Meet of Champions is an idea nurtured over the last three-to-four years by board members and regional directors of the Texas Track & Field Coaches Association. That the Meet of Champions has come to fruition is the result of many individuals who have dedicated hours of their time to add expertise and progressive ideas. All have an interest in the growth and visibility of track & field in Texas. There is no doubt that the TTFCA Meet of Champions will, in time, be considered one of the nation's premier track & field events, for Texas annually produces much of our country's top track & field talent. Thus, you will witness many of tomorrow’s collegiate stars from SPC (Southwestern Preparatory Conference), TAPPS (Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools) and UIL (University Interscholastic League) compete against one another for Texas bragging rights. This is simply the best versus the best, an exciting meet for all involved. An endeavor such as this requires countless, dedicated hours and the input of many people devoted to its long-term success. Officials, volunteers, businesses, et al; the list is awe-inspiring, and all will be individually recognized at the end of this program. The Texas Track & Field Coaches Association extends a special debt of gratitude to the Greater Waco Chamber of Commerce in its efforts to support youth sports and to Baylor University for its diligent efforts as gracious host of the Meet of Champions. Our intention is simple: promote and advocate track & field in Texas. The Meet of Champions goes a long way toward this goal. Help us to make this annual meet one of the premier high school track & field meets in the nation. Our warmest regards,

Stuart Kantor
