PRECEDENT STUDY BUILDING: SKY IS THE LIMIT TEAH HOUSE ARCHITECHT: DIDIER FAUSTINO LOCATION: YANG YANG, SOUTH KOREA
TWO DOMESTIC SPACES LOCATED AT THE TOP OF A 60’ TOWER PROVIDE A WIDE OPEN VIEW OF THE SEA IN SOUTH KOREA. THE STEEL STRUCTURE OF THE BUILDING IS COMPOSED BY A SIMPLE SKELETON THAT IS SET UNDER TENSION BY A CROSS-BRACED FRAME, WHICH SURROUNDS THE BODY OF THE TEA HOUSE. STRUCTURE: POST & BEAM; CABLE STAY MATERIALS: STEEL STRUCTURE, METAL GRID, GLASS, WOOD PANELS
