7th semester ARTIFICIAL LANDSCAPE - Infiltration in a non-place
SITE The railway terrain is regarded as a huge inaccessible transit surface. This great “non-place” contains a lot of potential “places” in the form of residual areas from disused railway lines and industrial programmes. The intention of the project is to acquire the inaccessible by infiltration of programmes that relate to the existing landscape and connect with the surrounding infrastructure. The concept is to add a new layer to the terrain as a stretched tissue, which is condensed in local places as an interference with the existing landscape.
CONCEPTUAL MODELS The conceptual models study the relation between the mass and the construction, and endeavour to dissolve their hieratic division. The construction is considered as a part of the mass, and vice versa, which means that the local insertions in the terrain are regarded as parts of the railway landscape.
6th semester: Bachelor thesis MUSIC VENUE at Ă˜sterbro, Copenhagen
CONTEXT The project is located in an area dominated by a structure of traditional residential blocks. The arrival of companies and public institutions is increasing, which results in a gradual disintegration of the residential block structure. This opens up the possibility of insertions of new cultural activities and urban spaces as a strategy for the creation of an attractive neighbourhood. The site of the project is located on a route of potential sites for cultural and recreational activities, which leads from the metro station as a diagonal of sporadic urban spaces though the area. The building is placed as en extension of a neighbour block in a void that opens to a passage leading to the courtyard. CONCEPT The concept deals with a relation between membrane, cells and a gap. The internal cells are surrounded by a translucent external membrane that unveils the stairway placed in a gap between the neighbour house and the music venue. PROGRAMME The floor plan relates to the street and the public space, as an open programme with a foyer/music cafĂŠ. The floor plan is slightly narrower than the upper floors in order to provide space for the passage to the courtyard. The 1st and 2nd floor holds the more introvert programmes. Soundproof rooms such as recording rooms and sound studios are organized in a gradual transition to the more open programmes, so that the more isolated cells create a vertical core throughout the building. The entire 4th floor functions as a concert hall with a two-storey control room. The external translucent screen functions as a projection screen transmitting the stage lighting and the activities that take place in the concert hall.

5th semester
EATING PLACE in connection with metro station at Enghave Plads The project is located at Enghave plads – a central plaza at inner Vesterbro in Copenhagen. As a new metro station is being built on this site, the proposal is to deal with the relation between the plaza and the underground. The concept of the project is to cut up the surface of the plaza, as an intervention that provides vertical lights and different levels, and thereby improve the relation between the plaza and the underground. The idea is to make use of the great depth of the metro station to create distinctive atmospheres around different types of vertical lighting.
The project contains a cafĂŠ/bar, a take-away kitchen, and a restaurant with kitchen in several levels. This programme serves as connecting link between the infrastructural programmes and the recreational areas of the city.

4th semester HOUSING PROJECT The building is located in a narrow wedgeshaped site between two housing blocks, which causes a lot of challenges in terms of organisation of the functional programmes of the building. The project contains two duplex flats, and a shop/showroom at the floor plan and the basement. The main focus of the project is to compress the densest programmes at the narrow end of the site, to make room for some more open spaces facing the street. The building has an external staircase that connects every second floor, as well as internal stairs that connect the two floors within each apartment. The external staircase is placed in the courtyard in connection with a balcony on every second floor. This organization provides a well-lighted apartment by making use of the greatest width to create an open space.

Hydra project 2014 Since the beginning of the 2000s The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, Schools of Architecture, Design and Conservation (KADK), Study Department 6 in Copenhagen has conducted a series of intense seminars on contemporary conditions for establishing and working build environments approached as “ (…) a cartography that is coextensive with the whole social field” (Deleuze). Starting with situated summer schools on the Greek island Hydra in the 2000s, the topography of the island was developed as different ways of considering topology in architectural drawing. This was approached from a new angle every year in a number of years through series of associated questions, resulting in an extensive body of drawings. Later these questions were developed by involvement of urban landscapes from Berlin, Paris and Tokyo. The observational of the body of drawings constitute a topological landscape with a great many parallels to the architectural context in which we find ourselves today. It may be described in time and space as a complex traversed by forces, information, and synergy; expressing and configuring varied and ambiguous significances through constellations that are both real and virtual. The Hydra project has sought to provoke a mode of operation in between the real and the virtual which may be said to hold the sensing body as its pivot along with the phenomenology of the object; omnipresently considering and shaping virtual constructions capable of instrumentalizing ambiguity and opening up to a topological production of meaning. Positions, relations, orders, levels, dimensions, energies, and processes as a new field of possibilities: an architecture of the event. Course: Architectonic, model and fiction Tilstandsskift Serien består af en række modeller, der på hver deres måde, afsøger en glidning mellem en hud og en kerne indenfor en samlet krop. Huden og kernen optræder som to tilstande, der arbejder med en omsluttethed og en opskæring i en gensidig udveksling. Tilstandsskiftet skal altså forstås som glidninger mellem disse karakterer på måder, der etablerer dybder i form af både åbninger og sløringer af kroppens indre.
