5. Testing (Optional) We accept either the ACT or the SAT; neither is required. Applicants may choose whether they wish to have exam scores considered as one component of their candidacy.

6. Letters of Recommendation We require one from a school counselor and one from a teacher. You may send us one additional if you’d like.

7. Art Portfolio Required only for applicants to the BFA and Combined Degree (BFA + BA/BS) programs.

In the first two years of our three-year SAT/ACT test-optional pilot, about half of applicants did not submit scores. About 40% of admitted students did not submit scores. We are SAT/ACT optional for first-year and transfer students applying to enter in the Fall of 2023.
