Al Jazeera Contracts POMINI to Design a 450,000 Metric TPA Rolling Mill in Abu Dhabi

Al Jazeera Steel Products Co. SAOG has contracted POMINI Long Rolling Mills to design and construct a new mill in Kezad, Abu Dhabi. The mill will have a manufacturing capacity of 450,000 metric TPA of beams.

Al Jazeera Steel Products Co. SAOG has contracted

POMINI Long Rolling Mills to design and supply a new rolling mill for medium sections to be installed in Kezad, Abu Dhabi.

The new mill will manufacture beams, and process billets and blooms in low to medium-carbon steel at a capacity of 450,000 metric TPA. The mill design will allow the production of premium rails in the future, as per the more stringent requirements of international norms, including head-hardened rails. It will be the first rolling mill in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) area capable, in a second phase, of producing rails.
