Alleima Group Appoints New President for Tube Division

Alleima has appointed a new President for its tube division, who will also be included in the Group's Executive Management. Mr. Carl von Schantz will join the office in Sandviken on November 17, 2023, at the latest.

May 17, 2023 lleima appoints Mr. Carl von Schantz as the new President for the tube division and member of the Group Executive Management as of November 17, 2023, at the latest. The position is located in Sandviken. He is presently working as President for the General Industry Tools and Assembly Systems division at Atlas Copco. He will succeed Mr. Michael Andersson, who will leave the company in June 2023.

AMr. Göran Björkman, President and CEO of Alleima, stated, "I am very pleased that Carl von Schantz will start the position as President of the tube division at Alleima. He is an experienced leader with broad experience from leading positions in several industries. He has demonstrated a strong ability for organizational development and driving growth in his previous roles. I am confident that he will be a driven and future-oriented leader for tube and is a good addition to the Group Executive Management Team."

Mr. Nigel Haworth, who has been serving as the acting President of the Tube division since February 13, 2023, will continue to do so until Mr. Carl von Schantz begins his position.

Forza Steel, Mexico, to Invest USD 60 Million to Setup

240,000 TPA Steel Pipes & Tubes Plant in USA

Forza Steel, Mexico, will invest USD 60 million to set up a 240,000 TPA capacity manufacturing plant at The Port of Brownsville, Texas, USA. The new 650,000-square-foot facility will manufacture steel pipes and tubes for the automotive, construction, and oil and gas industries.

Forza Steel, Mexico, will invest USD 60 million to build a 240,000 TPA capacity state-of-the-art manufacturing facility at The Port of Brownsville, Texas, USA. The plant shall be spread over 650,000 square-foot, and 260,000 metric tons of steel shall be brought in every year for manufacturing.

The new facility will also include an automated tarping station and will serve the US market for the company with steel pipes and tubes for the automotive, construction, and oil and gas industries. The equipment installment is planned for July.

Mr. Isidro Cantu, General Manager for Forza Steel USA, stated, “The Port of Brownsville is the perfect location for Forza Steel's entry into the American market. The location from Monterrey to Brownsville is ideal. Forza Steel is very excited to be part of the Brownsville community and grow.”

Mr. Eduardo A. Campirano, Director and CEO of the Port of Brownsville, commented, “We are excited to expand our role in the steel industry as a major gateway for steel in both Mexico and the United States. Our multimodal logistics allow companies to optimize the movement of goods via rail, truck, and water to save time and money.”

Forza Steel specializes in the manufacturing of carbon steel pipe and has been serving the Mexican and US markets through its Salinas Victoria, Nuevo León, Mexico plant.
