A second generation builder, Curran spent several years overseeing Cobblestone Homes’ interior and exterior design concepts, and has quickly become one of Tulsa’s most visionary and innovative builders. He founded Abbey Homes in 2012. Connell Curran joined the HBA in 2014, and has been an incredibly active member ever since. Involved in 40Below, Builders Council, Boards of Directors, and many other committees; he has generously given much of his time to the HBA. Not only does he volunteer greatly, in 2021 Curran raised a remarkable $52,875 through the Total Resource Campaign. The home involved roughly 75 associate members, making about 85% of project involvement. Curran states that “doing business with associate memebers is an imperative piece of our associations success,” and he’s upheld that belief through his own work. The home is contemporary in style with a functional living design. Over 5,200 square feet of open concept living space and a “Room with a View” located upstairs overlooks the golf course in the beautiful Wyckford edition located in Forest Ridge. This home comes equipped with high end finishes, GE Monogram appliances and features hardwood floors and tile throughout the main floor. This house sits on a grand three-quarter acre lot. It is HERS rated and Energy Star Certified. Curran is responsible for the interior design work, and he purposefully selected all of the finishes in the homes.

About the Spirit Award: In 1989, the Home Builders Association of Greater Tulsa began recognizing builders who made the best use of the HBA. The Spirit Award is one of the highest honors, as it symbolizes the relationship between the contractor and the subcontractor and how extremely important it is when building a home to only use qualified craftsmen and supplies. Each year, many worthy companies enter projects for consideration of this honoor, which are then analyzed by an accounting firm to determine which projects involved the greatest percentage of work by HBA Associate members.
