( CERT ) AC A DEM Y Competitive Employability Readiness Training Beginning January 2022, Tulsa Tech will offer two educational and competitive employment training programs for adults, ages 18-24 years old, with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. Project SEARCH™ Developed by Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, Project SEARCH™ is a nine-month, unpaid internship program that provides career training opportunities for adults with disabilities. Program interns will: »A cquire competitive job skills »G ain increased independence, confidence, and self esteem »O btain on-site individualized instruction and support »R eceive job placement assistance after program graduation »G ain independent community employment Applicants must be 18 years old, have a disability, be eligible for Department of Rehabilitation Services, pass a drug and background screening, and desire to utilize acquired skills to obtain independent community employment. Payment Plan Information » Payment plans are granted to students who are enrolled in select Tulsa Tech classes. Please see the application for the list of eligible classes. » Once approved, the total class fees will be divided into three equal payments. Specific payment deadlines are described on the application. » Failure to meet all payment deadlines will result in removal from the class with no refund. No future enrollments will be allowed until the balance is paid in full.
