• (HVAC-3354) Light Commercial, 40 hours

• (HVAC-3355) Commercial Refrigeration, 40 hours

• (HVAC-3352) Low-Pressure Boiler & Chillers, 30 hours

• (HVAC-3353) High-Pressure Boilers, 30 hours

• (HVAC-3342) EPA Section 608 Certification, 8 hours

• (HVAC-3343) Mechanical License Exam Prep, 40 hours

Applicants for a journeyman’s license may submit their Tulsa Tech HVAC Certificate or transcript to the CIB certifying completion of a minimum of two hundred and fifty (250) hours to receive one -half (1/2) year credit of the three years’ apprenticeship requirement. Students who complete the 300 hour HVAC Certificate program AND at least 75 hours of the classes listed above , may submit their Tulsa Tech HVAC Certificate or transcript certifying completion of a minimum of three hundred and seventy-five (375) hours to receive three-fourths (3/4) year credit of the three years’ apprenticeship requirement.

Certificate Program Title: Medical Assisting Certification Training

Certificate Program Description:

Medical Assistants play a valuable role in the daily operations of both the front and back offices in a variety of health care settings.

» Pursue your National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) through the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) (US Issued High School Diploma or GED required to sit for NCCT Certification Exam)

In order to be eligible to take the NCMA exam, a student must be a current student in a NCCT authorized school or have graduated from an NCCT authorized school within the past five years. Other pathways to eligibility include two years of verifiable fulltime experiences as a medical assistant practitioner within the last five years, or completion of medical assistant training or its equivalent during U.S. military service within the last five years. There is a fee to sit for the certification exam.

The AAPC (American Academy of Professional Coders) Certified Professional Coder (CPC) credential requires both passing the certification exam and documentation of some on-the-job coding experience. A student may take the CPC exam prior to work experience however, they will receive the designation of “apprentice” until appropriate work experience documentation is provided.

Tulsa Tech Certificate Program

Certificate Program Title: Nutrition & Foodservice Professional Training

Certificate Program Description:

Enroll in Tulsa Tech’s Dietary Manager program and train to become a qualified professional managing dietary operations while studying foodservice management, human resource management, nutrition, medical nutrition therapy, and food safety.

» Approved by the Association of Nutrition and Foodservice Professionals (ANFP)

» Successfully complete this program and be eligible for membership with ANFP and sit for the national credentialing exam

» As part of the ANFP training program requirements, all 150 field experience hours must be approved and verified by Tulsa Tech’s Progra m Director to ensure compliance

» Purchase your textbooks online from ANFP prior to class start date. Book purchases are additional and not included in tuition and fees

Students are eligible to take the exam if they meet the requirements of one of four pathways. The most popular pathway is graduating from an Association of Nutrition & Foodservice Professionals (ANFP)approved dietary manager training program, which includes at least 120 hours of didactic education plus 150 hours of field experience. The Tulsa Tech Nutrition & Foodservice Professional (Dietary Manager) Training is an approved ANFP training program.

Special Program Information:

For candidates who have graduated from an ANFP approved dietary training program, you must submit a copy of your certificate of course completion, or your name must appear on the official graduate listing that is sent to ANFP by the college/school.

Tulsa Tech’s Construction Industry Board (CIB) approved program provides both theory and handson training to get you started on your new career.

» Apply for an apprentice license before or during your first class

» Classes prepare you to take the Oklahoma Plumbing Journeyman and Gas exam

» Submit successfully completed certificate to the CIB for six months of experience required to qualify to take the state journeyman's license exam
