Celebrating the legacy of Olympic Medalist Joan Benoit, Nike invited the top runners and coaches to the LA Coliseum, to announce the return of the Nike Womens Running Series. The same tunnel Joan ran through to approach the groundbreaking finish line was transformed into a dynamic entrance for guest to walk through and re-experience the impact of the first Women’s Olympic Marathon winner. Guests gathered around our custom table, fabricated by local studio Waka Waka, while being served from an open fire pit by Chef Balo Orozco. The scale of the stadium was both celebrated and minimized to crate a comfortable sense of enclosure through scenic lighting and projection mapping.
Netflix invited fans to a drive-in premiere experience of the movie Leave the World Behind. Guests were brought up to a transformed rooftop of The DTLA Row’s scenic parking structure by white Tesla, a reference to the movie’s high intensity scene. Before the movie, guest were encouraged to grab drinks, take pictures, and enjoy commentary from the movie’s directors.
The Nike World Basketball Festival was an invitational competition between local teenage teams, held at the Lincoln Center in New York. The custom court set up was a apart of a larger activation that included custom merchandise displays for a lineage of shoe releases and limited edition Nocta apparel . After the game , music artist were brought in to perform center court on a custom stage, designed to be quickly moved and constructed
To celebrate their record 54 nominations at the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards, Apple TV hosted an exclusive after party that honored the talented individuals who bring their stories to life. Held at Mother Wolf in Hollywood, the event featured seamlessly integrated branding, photo opportunities, and redesigned interiors that complemented the venue’s renowned aesthetic.
Instagram Headquarters asked for a redesign of their multipurpose lounge next to their patio deck, overlooking the San Francisco skyline. Early concepts for a playful installation that can perform as both photo-ready art and a casually productive gathering space. Rounds of renders act as quick sketches to communicate explorations in material, form, and layout.
City of Views: Studio District
“City of Views at every level is about unpacking and reintegrating production typology through techniques of sequence, perspective, and presence.” A thesis developed from a reintegration of sound stage campuses into a more responsive urban condition. Production space is stratified, collected, and composed into a 16 acre mixed use district. Visualized through experimental resin printing to represent transparent caustic optical effects at an urban consideration.
“Upcycling changes everything. How we understand beginning and end. How we treat the process, and the finished result, if there even is one. Our factory is for upcycling, so we can’t model production the same. We have to look closer at the life cycle, at the details, from every angle, at every size. What if we kept making this way? What if we took it all apart and never put it back together again? Could all new fashion be made from not so new material? Could upcycling be a new way to tell the story of clothes?
