Hit the Trail!

There are hundreds of trails to choose from in Tuolumne County and although snow can limit some, other trails are open year round. Here are some of Tuolumne County’s top trails to get you started.

Pinecrest Lake Loop 3.9 miles The popular trail loops the entirety of Pinecrest Lake and crosses the Stanislaus River and the dam. This trail is open yearround (weather depending) and offers peace of mind in the High Sierra.

Wapama Falls 5 miles One of Yosemite’s hidden gems! Wapama Falls offers stunning views of Hetch Hetchy Reservoir and the surrounding granite giants. Continue on the trail for 8.4 more miles to reach Rancheria Falls!

Dragoon Gulch 3.1 miles of natural trails. The trails travel along a natural creek up to the vista that provides a spectacular view of Sonora and its surrounding mountain ranges. The trails vary in difficulty making it perfect for the casual walker and for those who want a strenuous hike or jog.
