My name Otuo Gyimah Frank. My lectures and superiors refer to me as Otuo. Am 22 years of age, graduated Bsc Architecture at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghanaand currently in a on year Internship program at Urban solution Grup (An architectural firm in Kumasi)
My desire
to become an architect sterns from my background in art. After studying art in my secondary school years I furthered in Architecture. My stern appreciation for local and indigenous application of common materials drives me to consider very vernacular and innovative ways of approaching design. In this portfolio my general character towards design is demonstrated as my works tend to pay attention to typical and innovative details. Regardless of my Ghanaian environment ( i.e.; an environment characterised by certain norms and design methods). My works would also demonstrate how
untypical and
radical my designs instinct can be. I enjoy tackling seemingly unusual forms to my environment while also using very local and vernacular materials and methods. Words cannot explain my feelings and love for architecture as my portfolio.
My portfolio defines my dedication and my love for what I do My Profile

After a rural study on Donyina (within the Ejisu-Juabeng). A home in a deprived and deteriorating situation was selected for remodelling. The aim of this task was to remodel the existing structure while maintaining about 70% of the existing structure. This design also focusses on the way of life of a typical rural settler in Ghana
Site Plan Ground floor Plan Eastern Faรงade had most windows but were well shaded with the roof overhang. This should be incorporated into the design proposal to shade the Bedrooms

Working Details Arc. Charles Essel, my Lecturer and boss normally says that an architect should always understand how his building works to the latter. The use of construction details in 3 dimension is one the best ways of representing these thoughts to the future builder. It was from my years with him that my attention to details increased. Paying attention to my Working details is a particular aspect of my design.

The scheme was able to address needs as outdoor washing, Out door meeting and shared facilitates. The incorporation of bamboo into the design helps in the uses of local materials in an innovatively indigenous way
