MORE

ABOUT O ME

Hi, I’m Turan. Iwas born in 12 August 1992 in BalĹkesir, Turkey. I have lived in Izmir for 7 years. I was graduated at department of architecture in 2016. My design curiosity comes from to explore different places, different object. Design is an important part of our life and it is everywhere in our life. The design is not only to design a space/place. We design a life for people. I like to look and explore different, creative design staff. Therefore I want to produce design stuff so I have worked freelance job for 2 years. Also I worked at So architects company after the these freelance jobs. And nowadays I am studying about Master program of Lighting design and Led technology at Politecnico di Milano and doing my internship at one design studio which is Migliore+Servetto Architects. Among the programs I know are Autocad, Archicad, Lumion, 3D Studio Max, SketchUp, Photoshop, Dialux, Rhino, Cinema 4D. I am successful in 3D and 2D visualization, lighting design, interior design, facade design also architectural rendering/drawing.

LIFE SPORT ACADEMY AT GURSEL AKSEL STADUIM / IZMIR

Sport is very essential in terms of physical and mental development for childreen. It is not just an activity it is also a kind of culture lifestyle. But it has not developed in our country to much. Sport activity starts with family. Playing in the streets with friends is not enough to get this culture. The aim in this project is to teach this activity to children in the open space they do sport with their family. Therefore children start to enjoy sport. To do this activity design open green active and secure places. I also revise the green area in front of Migros and add my project area. I design a green axis between this area and the last of my area. In this axis there are a lot of activity for children. Sometimes this area becomes open play area sometimes walking ways and resting places. Also I design multipurpose places in -4 level plan. Here not just for children also for families there are activities. Also there are unfunction green area around the site. This project bring solution to this passive areas. Everyone can benefit from the project. Because it has a strong relation with outside. By this way I bring solution the sport problems in the area and country.

Urban Design BELONGING & NEIGHBOURHOOD IN DEGIRMENDAGI / IZMIR

Degirmendagi is one of the most important residential district in the city in terms of its strategic location.. The aim of the project is urban design to Degirmedagi destrict where has not adequate importance and also design a city campus in this area. Belonging problem is the main issue for our design. People live here but they do not feel to belongtheirselves to Konak/Izmir. Their daily routin is to go work and come back to home. They don’t want to spend their time in Degirmendagi. By taking an advantages of their daily and week habits we designed stop points. These different points are production, sharing, entertainment, social points on main and optional routes. Main routes shaped on daily routine. Optinonal routes are community centers.

06

Exhibition Design General Idea of Experience Rooms

Each experience room has 3 zone. These are installation, materials and practice zone. When young people come to here first they will see one installation. So they can try to experience and take inspiration. Then they will learn that what kind of materials are used in that installation. at final part, it is more for activity. so they can plan and enjoy with some interactive games.

06

Exhibition Design Equilibrium-Balance Experience Room

There is one projection and it shows a lots of grid. This grids move as a perspective. sometimes it is going down as a virtual effect and you feel that you are at top of the place. and there is one podium you can walk and the effect that you feel to walk top of the hill.

28-29

Architectural Design

emptiness / fullness

Emptiness-Fullness Experience

it is kinetic lighting and it moves down

it is going up

feeling of cave so it is so full space

feeling of relax and that space is empty

There is circular luminaire which has sensor for the movement. So when you enter the room some of them are goin to down and cover you. So you feel that effect of cave and you will feel that also pressure because of fullness. The second story when you touch them, you make them to move up. So all off them will go up and you will say it is so empty space..

Real-Fake Experience There is grid on the floor and wall. And that grid is kind of art illusion. So because of illussion, it seems there is hole. But some of them is not hole some of them not. So it is real or fake? You have to experience by your walking. Then you can guess which part is real and fake. So before the door there is big hole and you have to decide you will jump or not to reach another room?

06

Exhibition Design Emptiness-Fullness + Real-Fake Experience Room

06

Exhibition Design When color changes, music mood will be changed. So depends on your mood, you have to choose color. When you select blue light, music will be happy mood. And when range of blue is dark sound is so much. But when it is getting white there is no sound.

Noice-Silence + Solo-Group Experience Room

There is spotlight inside of the room. But normall the room is totally dark. These luminaire has sensor which one calculate fullness rate. So the exit door is also not visible and if you want to see it and exit to space, you have to join another people as interactive place... 30-31

After analysing the mass plan of the campus, we realized that the block and spaces ‘’garden, meeting area, pedestrian...’’ are not connected. Sowe started by thinking how to connect this space, make interaction and give students a very innovative and different university experience by using LIGHT. To implement this concept, we got inspired from Italian designs ‘’Smeg, Vespa, Fiat, Ferrari...’’ They prefer using round edge instead of sharpe egde. So our lighting conncection is based on rounds and organic shapes that are connecting all the campus. In the morning, wetook advantage from the sunlight which show shadows that are making usable objects for students.
