Tots ells edificis singulars i testimonis de la importància creixent de la vila al llarg dels segles. The Mudejar-style Torre de la Vila [town tower], the remains of the mediaeval wall and of two of its gates, the Church of St. Peter the Apostle and its spectacular baroque organ, Icart Castle - the only renaissance-style civil construction in Catalonia, and the colonial-style houses of returning emigrants from the Americas (indianos or indians in Catalan), etc. are all unique buildings that confirm the growing importance of the town over the centuries.
