Trips Out of Town Cala Finestrat Small sandy bay behind Poniente beach with a promenade full of bars, cafes and restaurants. Market day: Friday. Bus 12, 5 km. from Mediterraneo Av., every 15 minutes, or Bus 41 from Elche Park (Dove Park). Both bus lines continue up to La Marina Shopping Center after calling at Cala Finestrat. Bus fare: 1,30 €. Around 4 km. inland, you will find FINESTRAT, the village, with a very nice old part and from where you can start the climb to Puig Campana (1.406 m), the highest mountain in the area. Bus 35 (A or B) every hour, from Hotel Bali. Bus fare 1,30 € El Albir (Alfaz del Pi) Little town next to Benidorm with a pebbled beach and a promenade full of bars and cafes. You can walk all along the front between Albir 6 km. and Altea. Bus 10, every 15 minutes, from Mediterráneo Avenue. Bus fare: 1,30 €. Altea Fishing town north of Benidorm with a promenade, a fishing harbour, and a nice Old Town. Bus 10 every 15 minutes from Mediterráneo 8 km. Avenue or TRAM. Market on Tuesday. Bus fare: 1,30 €

Polop Nice town 10 km. inland. There is a fountain with 221 water outlets and a path going up to the cemetery on top of a hill, from where
you will enjoy nice views. ALSA Bus from Europa Av., Mo to Fri, 10 minutes past the hour. Bus fare: 1,30 €. La Vila Joiosa Old Town with coloured houses, fishing harbour, Chocolate Factory + Museum. ALSA bus from Europa Avenue (Mon-Fri 12 km. 06:35 to 21:35 every hour) or TRAM. Bus fare 1,30 €. Thursday Market day, in the village, and Tuesday and Saturday, at La Cala de Villajoyosa (next to Cala de Finestrat). Algar Waterfalls (Callosa d’En Sarrià) There is a natural area that includes a river, waterfalls, an Avenue of Aromatic Plants, walking paths and 18 km. a botanical garden (Cactus d´Algar). The bus that goes to Polop, continues until Callosa d´Ensarrià, the town. From there, you will have to take a taxi or walk (around 5 km), to get to the waterfalls. Bus fare: 1,45€.
