An unusual and rather special excursion, discovering the Organs of Zoldo, in the church of Goima, Dont and Pieve. The discovery includes its historical and artistic importance, the magnificent sounds of these ancient instruments, in particular the organ “Callido” of Pieve, recently restored, Dont’s rare organ of ‘500s, and Fusine an unusual wooden version. Led by the exceptional orchestra leader Andrea Marcon, organist and harpsichordist of European fame, with a historical and artistic introduction of churches by Caterina Gamba.

FORNO DI ZOLDO: 9.30 a.m. in A. Santin Square Forno, Fusine, Fornesighe… Italian place names which recall how the economy of Zoldo for a long time was based on working iron, until the second half of the 19th Century, when the Zoldo Industrial Society, one of the first cooperatives in Italy, was founded. The nail-makers, “chiodaioli”, worked in little forges, along the streams of the Maé and the Prampera. The itinerary will follow these paths and also take you to the little forge (in dialect “fusinèla”) of Pralongo, ending with a guided tour of the Iron and Nail Museum of Forno di Zoldo.
9.30 p.m. at M. Simonetti Square The Theater Route will guide participants to the lanes of the suggestive village and its surroundings, narrating and performing stories from the lives of the artists who were born in Zoldo and Cadore (Valentino Besarel, Masi Simonetti, Enzo Tomea, Angelo Majer, and the Master Tiziano Vecellio). These will include not only painters and sculptors, but also names of excellence in other arts: for example, did you know that the photographer Tomaso Filippi, who immortalised Venice life from the end of the 800s to the middle of the 900s, was native from Val di Zoldo?

Mareson: 9.30 a.m. AT San Valentino Square Zoldo has been a tourist attraction since the 800s. It started with the first mountaineers, who,accompanied by local guides, ventured to conquest the peaks of the Pelmo and Civetta, and followed with city people, who came to the mountains to restore themselves and enjoy pure air and genuine food, through to today, with the era of the Winter Sports.The theatrical itinerary will take you to the more suggestive locations between Mareson and Pecol, where relevant amusing stories and anecdotes will be narrated along the way.
Duration: 2 hours. Info: trekking shoes, comfortable clothing, k-way. Price: € 10 adult, € 5 teenager (6-12 years old), free for children under 6 years. Time: 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Note: at 9.30 a.m. there is the possibility to use the shuttle service Zoldobus to reach Malga Pramper from Forno di Zoldo or from the parking of Pian de la Fopa. Destination: Rifugio Pramperet, in the Dolomiti Bellunesi National Park. Return to: Pian de la Fopa. Level: medium. Bring: walking boots, comfortable sport clothing, backpack, rain cap and packed lunch (or you can choose to have lunch in the Rifugio Pramperet or Malga Pramper). In case of bad weather: cancelled. Reservation details: maximum party size is 30 people. Any children/minor must be accompanied by an adult. Register: by 5.00 p.m. the day before the activities. Meeting point: Forno di Zoldo at La tana de l’Ors restaurant (organised transfer). Time: 8.30 a.m - 4 p.m. Destination: a beautiful brook in the Dolomites. Level: Medium, but requires good swimming ability. Bring: A pair of sneakers (will get wet), a swimsuit and towel, a change of shoes and clothes. The equipment necessary for canyon descent will be provided. Lunch: pack lunch provided. In case of bad weather: cancelled. Reservation details: maximum party size is 6 people.
