INTRODUCTION My background and experiences motivate me to focus on the learning process, the design process, and the educational method I was exposed to during my studies. Growing up in a Third-World country has given me a comprehension hope the back of design indication on technology in many areas of the world. I am developing an understanding of the design disciplines that emphasized the different approaches to design process. To be able to explore, present, and investigate new ideas in the studio environment allows me to advance my design project. This portfolio will showcase multiple techniques I have learned during my study and digital design, fabrication, on presentation. Architecture never stop surprising us on the ways that it could be designed. It taught me that architectural forms can be found in the unlikely places. I on the other hand, am more interested in the way that we can create and design new forms, and spaces that could be generate from these forms. Then study how we can inhabit these geometries and how it can effect the surrounding environment.

Instructor: Gow, Marcelyn Partner : Yan Chen The aim of this course is to create multiple type of mess-ensemble Through the production and documenting of multiple fields that are different and diverse. By focusing on crystalline fields and then creating difference by altering the chemistry of the crystalline growth recipe and experimenting with it. By take inspiration from the look and feel of these crystals and the amazing color that these Crystals produce. Then extract the vector lines from these experimental crystals and use all factors to produce all the elements in the site.

Site Evolution << 1.1 The site in Mendoza,Argentina << 1.2 The first layer of crystalline fields. << 1.3 The Second layer of crystalline fields with the Vetors. << 1.4 The finle site proposal.

(AS 3200) Adv Tectonics

Instructor: Marcelo Spina Partner : Ziad Ashour Anushka Jhaveri Qingyi Nicole Harter This course Look at the different Option of lightweight materials, Within architecture. We worked On two different project both Dealt with Composite materials of Carbon fiber, resin, and tow. With both computational and manual method, We managed to create such assembly.

(VS 4200) Modeling Tooling Comp

Instructor: Elena Manferdini Partner : Ziad Ashour In this course we dealt with new ways of architectural representation. Through the integration of technology and new techniques.Using software like zbrush and 123D catch we managed to scan an object and then transfer multiple images to 3D object then map a realistic texture. Then we had absolute freedom to compose and color a multiple of these 3d objects, to create landscapes. Then we took these landscapes to after effects to morph these images between one to another.

(DS 1201) 2GBX Generative Morphologies

Instructor: Elena Manferdini Partner : Ziye Liu At first, we make a cube and curve into the edges and corner, then we tilt it to have 45 degree with horizon in order to make it look like in the Axometric view from people’s perspective and naturally provide an entrance to visitors. For the exterior, we use black and white cubes to the building façade, in order to make the surface of the building not just a single surface, but crack a s pace between two colors relying on the shadows. In the turntable, according to the sun movement, the side facing the sun look like 2D, but when it goes in to the shade, it appears to be 3D with the white cubes coming out and the black cubes stepping back. So that the building is not a single cube any more but consists of many black and white cubes. At the same time, it also makes the building look less overpowering. For interior, we try to convey a sense of drama, sensuality and movement through design. We make a strong contrast with the exterior by providing the space in light red and yellow shades together with the black and white contrasts of stripes. It symbolizes a heart that beats the music of the soul. The black and white stripes overlaid at an angle. It seems like rotating and stretching all the time but actually it stays there.

In this course we have explored games as a source of site strategies. Look at what games has such powerful influence on many people, and how we can use that in a site strategy. Mine Craft is an open world game where you get to create your own world with a specific and limited tools. We looked at what drive this game to be such a global game and what make it so successful.Take that into consideration we wanted to completely bring all the surrounding to the site. And then apply all the game strategies in to the site in every way like interaction, building, and outsourcing.
