In this special issue that we prepared due to the 30th Year of TürkSMD, we try to inform you about 30 years of adventure of the association.
«Объединение Свободных Архитекторов Турции» («ТSMD») отмечает свое 30-летие, и в связи с этим событием подготовлен специальный юбилейный выпуск нашего журнала.
In this issue, we, unfortunately, had a “Collar Photo” part. We have been hit by the loss of Orhan Dinç, the honorary member of TürkSMD, and Aydın Boysan, an important figure in Turkish architecture. Our members who were carrying out the presidency duties since the foundation of our association came together in a session moderated by C. Abdi Güzer. Presidents of previous periods have casted a light upon the future, by evaluating 30 years Our members Yakup Hazan and Enis Öncüoğlu who took charges in the Board of Directors have touched upon the transition period of our association from its first headquarters to the current TSMD Architecture Center. Cafer Bozkurt (İstanbulSMD Founder member), Ziya Canbazoğlu (İstanbulSMD) and Şükrü Kocagöz (İzmirSMD) have mentioned about the foundation process of branches of the association as well as the foundation and development processes of İzmir SMD and İstanbul SMD, which later have become separate associations. We re-evaluated the progress of the Association from 1992, which is the first year in which the TSMD Architecture Awards, the most significant and prestigious project of the Association, were awarded up to today. We have compiled the exhibitions, panels, long-term projects effectuated from past to present by our Association under “Events”. We evaluated the member projects taken place in the exhibition named “30 Years of Adventure of TürkSMD Architecture” that was organized in TSMD Architecture Center within the scope of the 30th Year, on the basis of the years they belong and shared with you. Finally; İlhan Kural has defined the 30 Years of World Architecture over the examples and explained the development/ change.

В главе «Портрет» с большой грустью мы вспоминаем и рассказываем о почетных членах «TSMD», уважаемых коллегах Орхане Динч и Айдыне Бойсан, которые, к сожалению, уже не с нами. Со времени основания и до сегодняшних дней, о людях, которые на протяжении всего времени возглавляли Объединение, говорилось в выступлении, которое подготовил и провел Абди Гюзер. В нем говорилось о тех, кто в течение 30 лет с неизменным успехом руководил Объединением, и в своей работе был всегда достойным примером ответственного и творческого отношения к своему делу. О периоде , в котором состоялся переход в новый Центр «ТSMD», рассказывают наши коллеги Якуп Хазан и Энис Онджуоглу, которые входили в состав правления Объединения того периода. О процессе открытия филиалов «ТSMD» в городах Измир и Стамбул и развития их деятельности повествуют члены правлений этих отделений Жафер Бозкурт (Стамбул), Зия Чапаноглу (Стамбул) и Щюкрю Коджагез (Измир). Самые успешные и престижные проекты, которые получили архитектурные награды «TSMD» в период со времен вручения первой премии в 1992 году и до сегодгяшних дней проходят в ретроспективе. В главе «События» рассказывается о всех выставках и долгосрочных проектах Объединения, которые были проведены в жизнь за весь период. Также мы хотели поделиться с Вами некоторыми проектами выставки, посвященной 30-летию «TSMD», которая открылась в Архитектурном Центре TSMD, и носит название «TSMD Mimarlığının 30 Yıllık Serüveni». И в заключение выпуска, Ильхан Курал расскажет, приводя конкретных примеры, о том, какие изменения и нововведения произошли за этот 30-летний период в мировой архитектуре.
