DON PEDRO PROJECT CELEBRATES 50TH ANNIVERSARY Long considered the “crown jewel” of the TID system, the project has not only provided irrigation water and power for our community, but offers multiple recreational opportunities. TID, along with Modesto Irrigation District (MID), our partner on the Tuolumne River, recognized the milestone with a campaign of print, social media and video tributes to celebrate the value the Don Pedro Project offers the area. While many are certainly aware of the role Don Pedro plays in allowing for efficient and reliable irrigation service, the entire Project is made up of many components and provides for TID and MID customers in a variety of ways. •
Don Pedro Reservoir stores irrigation water for approximately
200,000 acres of farmland. •
The power plant generates 203 megawatts of clean, affordable hydroelectricity.

The reservoir offers fishing, boating and camping opportunities along 160 miles of shoreline.
•
Regulated river flows are released from Don Pedro to benefit fisheries and maintain the health of the Tuolumne River.

The reservoir and the optimized operation of the Don Pedro Project allows for efficient water usage and provides flood control capabilities.

UP TO $500 REBATE
Salvation Army Energy Assistance Program Benefiting TID Customers The Salvation Army Energy Assistance Program offers support to TID customers in paying their TID energy bills. The program focuses on the overall need of the household and not just the household income level. Selection and assistance granted is at the discretion of Salvation Army and is determined by the number of people in the household, household income, expenses and a description of the hardship preventing the applicant from paying the full amount of their energy bill. The maximum benefit a TID customer will receive from the Salvation Army Energy Assistance Program will be $300 per household, per calendar year.
Install a new central air conditioner or central heat pump. Rebate amount varies depending on unit installed. (Minimum 15 SEER rating)

Purchase and install a whole-house fan. Residence must have air conditioning.
SMART THERMOSTAT $50 REBATE
Purchase and install a new Replace your existing thermostat ENERGY STAR® qualified pool with a new ENERGY STAR® certified pump. Your new pump must be smart thermostat. Limit 2 rebates ENERGY STAR® certified, cannot per household during useful life (11 exceed three (3) horsepower, years). must be installed on an in ground pool and must be used for primary filtration.
