YOUR GUIDE TO SAVINGS

TERMS & CONDITIONS

• All applications must include a receipt/proof of purchase in addition to the Supporting Documents Required and listed per program.

• New unit or product must be installed and operating in a residence in the TID Service Area.

• Rebate application must be received within six (6) months of product purchase date.

• Programs are subject to change or termination without prior notice. Please visit TID.org/rebates for details on current programs. You may also call (209) 883-8432 to verify your efficiency measure qualifies for a rebate BEFORE purchase or installation.

• Keep a copy of all documents submitted; documents will not be returned.

• Please allow four to six weeks for your application to be processed.

• Discrepancies can invalidate the rebate application.

• Approval of rebate is at the sole discretion of TID.

• Rebates are subject to inspection and verification by TID.

• All rebates are subject to additional rebate-specific requirements.

• TID is not responsible for any items delayed or lost in the mail.

• TID disclaims any and all liability for loss or damage which may arise as a result of the applicant’s participation in this program and makes no expressed or implied representation or warranty that the installation of the product will result in a reduction of the applicant’s electric utility bill.

• Rebate funds are available on a first-come, first-served basis and not guaranteed.

GENERAL INFORMATION

TID offers multiple rebates for your home that not only reduce your energy consumption and lower your electric bills, but also helps improve our environment. For more information on energy conservation tips, please visit our webpage at TID.org/rebates.

HOW TO APPLY:

1. Fill out application or visit our webpage to apply online at rebates.TID.org.

2. Include a copy of the receipt showing the purchase of the item(s) you are claiming a rebate for.

3. Depending upon the rebate claimed, a copy of the ENERGY GUIDE with the ENERGY STAR® logo may be required.

4. See rebate requirements for supporting documentation required.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must meet minimum efficiency requirements.

• Rebate for replacing existing home A/C or adding new unit.

• Cooling capacity <65,000 BTUs (5.4 ton).

• Split system requires matching evaporative coil.

• Split systems using water/evaporative-cooled condensers may be eligible provided the air conditioning system has a current (not archived) AHRI reference number and efficiency rating.

• Rooftop installs must be code compliant for inspection access.

LIMITATIONS:

• Limit (2) per household, per useful life (18 yrs).

ADDITIONAL SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS REQUIRED:

• Current AHRI Certificate of Product Ratings.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Tuneup must be performed by a licensed HVAC Contractor.

• Must be a single-family residential dwelling.

LIMITATIONS:

• (2) per customer account per year.

• Renters are required to have property owner sign the rebate application.

• Rebate cannot exceed purchase price.

• Cannot be combined with HVAC Replacement or new installs.

• Contractor Verification Form.

REQUIREMENTS:

HEATING / COOLING

DUCTLESS MINI SPLIT

REQUIREMENTS:

• New AC unit must be Energy Star (R) certified.

• New Heat Pump unit must be SEER 15 or greater.

LIMITATIONS:

• Maximum 5 ton.

• Limit (4) rebates per household during useful life (18 yrs).

ADDITIONAL SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS REQUIRED:

• Proof of Energy Star (R) certification (For AC units)

• Current AHRI certificate (For Heat Pump Units)

ENERGY STAR® ROOM AIR CONDITIONER

REQUIREMENTS:

• New unit must be ENERGY STAR® certified.

ADDITIONAL SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS REQUIRED:

• Proof of the Energy Guide with ENERGY STAR® Logo.

ENERGY STAR® HEAT PUMP WATER HEATER

REQUIREMENTS:

• New unit must be ENERGY STAR® certified.

• EF factor of 2.0 or greater.

• First hour rating of 50 gallons or greater.

• Must be installed outside the air-conditioned living space, such as attic, garage, crawlspace or unheated/unfinished basement.

LIMITATIONS:

• One (1) rebate per qualified unit per household within a 15 year period.

ADDITIONAL SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS REQUIRED:

• Proof of the Energy Guide with ENERGY STAR® Logo.

INDUCTION STOVETOP

REQUIREMENTS:

• Range measuring 30” or larger.

LIMITATIONS:

• (1) Induction Cooktop/Range rebate per household.

ADDITIONAL SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS REQUIRED:

• Photo of unit installed.

• Receipt must reference unit model #

LOOK FOR THE STAR

ENERGY STAR® certified refrigerators are about 9 percent more energy efficient than models that meet the federal minimum energy efficiency standard.

LOWER ENERGY BILLS

Replacing old windows with ENERGY

STAR® certified windows lowers household energy bills by an average of up to 13 percent nationwide when replacing single-pane windows.

GENERAL IMPROVEMENTS GENERAL IMPROVEMENTS

ENERGY STAR® POOL PUMP

REQUIREMENTS:

• New unit must be ENERGY STAR® certified.

• New unit must be a variable speed pool pump.

• Must be installed on a new or existing inground pool for primary filtration.

LIMITATIONS:

• Limit (1) rebate per household during useful life (10 yrs).

• New unit cannot exceed 3 horsepower.

ADDITIONAL SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS REQUIRED:

• Photo of ENERGY STAR® logo featured on installed pool pump.

RESIDENTIAL WINDOW REPLACEMENT

REQUIREMENTS:

• Rebate for replacement of existing exterior home windows with new ENERGY STAR® qualified windows.

• Must be installed according to the manufacturer’s instruction on south, facing windows.

• Products must be installed in an air conditioned living space.

• New construction is not eligible.

• Windows must be ENERGY STAR® Certified and/or have a u-factor of 0.5

• Must apply within 6 months of purchase and installation.

LIMITATIONS:

• Doors, skylights and any interior glass windows are not eligible.

• North facing windows are not eligible.

• All installations are subject to TID inspection.

ADDITIONAL SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS REQUIRED:

• Receipt must include quantity, dimensions and facing direction of each window installed.

• Proof of ENERGY STAR ® Logo/Certification or proof of u-factor of 0.5 or less.

SUN SCREEN

REQUIREMENTS:

• Screen must be rated to block at least 80% of the sun’s heat.

• Area must be air conditioned.

LIMITATIONS:

• North-facing windows are excluded.

ADDITIONAL SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS REQUIRED:

• Invoice to include quantity, dimensions and facing direction of screens installed.

SHADE TREE $50

REQUIREMENTS:

• Select a deciduous tree.

• Trees must be planted within 50 feet of building foundation.

• Trees must be planted at your electric service address and on your property.

• Renters are required to have the property owner sign the rebate application.

LIMITATIONS:

• Limit (3) rebates per household per calendar year.

• Rebate cannot exceed purchase price of the tree. Purchase price excludes sales tax, installation, delivery or associated costs.

• Trees planted on the North side of the home are not eligible for the rebate.

ADDITIONAL SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS REQUIRED:

• Photo of planted tree(s) on your property.

Convert from gas to electric and qualify for G2E Rebates.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must meet minimum efficiency requirements.

• Rebate for replacing existing home A/C or adding new unit.
