Motorcycle Museum
Built on the outside of the Japanese Sunken Tea Gardens in San Antonio, this museum houses motorcycles from around the world, from record breakers to famous movie motorcycles. Each piece of the building shows a different purpose, the offices or the galleries of the museum. The museum is set up like a circuit, the main lobby is the “battery� of the circuit and all the paths around the museum always lead back to the center to complete the circuit.

Multi-use Building Located off of Main Plaza in downtown San Antonio, this mixed-use builidng is set to house an incoming technology company. The building will house a small convenience store, restaurant and offices, a cafe, gym and rooftop park and track for the office workers. This is an ideal location because of the amount of traffic that occurs on Main Plaza, the River Walk and the neighboring businesses.

Restaurant Apartment Complex The restaurant apartment complex is located across the street from the San Antonio Museum of Art. Each person in the group had to design their own building but then would have a shared space. The structure has the restaurant on the bottom floor and all of the apartments on the upper floors. The restaurant is a double high space with large windows to get a good amount of natural light. The studio and one bedroom apartments are on the second floor and the two bedroom loft style apartment is on the third floor. The primary material is wood to help to make the structure feel lighter and give it a more natural look.

Library of Time Chronos Library is located in Boulder, Colorado next to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (which holds the atomic clock). Its name refers to the God of Time and to the mechanics of a watch, which from the center radiates outward. The center holds the book-bot, a machine that retrieves the desired book and brings it to a single location.

The center of the site was found by having regulatiing lines that connected two important points, where they intersected was the center. After a series of drawings and study models, the form of the library was found with emphasis on the center. The structure is a pier and beam skeleton that widens as it goes up. The roof of the center cone has an oculus to bring in natural light and bring in a sense of time to the interior. The main lobby is composed of a series of space trusses that can be seen from the interior and exterior. The structure holds the glass roof while also holding the perforated metal roof. Moving to the exterior of the library, the parking lot on the side of the building was formed with radial parking lines. Two linear pathways extend out from the library to the community much like the hands on a watch.
