As a member of Forbes Global Properties—the exclusive real estate partner of Forbes—we are proud to be part of the invitation-only network that connects buyers and sellers of the world’s most prestigious properties.

We’re also proud to share this collection of 2024 highlights with you. The Storied Yearbook presents some of our top sales and listings of the year alongside insights and innovations from our fellow real estate experts in more than 600 residential market locations worldwide.

Whether you’re buying, selling or browsing, we hope you enjoy these insights into what makes Forbes Global Properties unique, helping members to engage with an increasingly global audience of discerning buyers, sellers and investors.

A YEAR FOR CHANGE, COLLABORATION, CREATIVE THINKING

What a year we’ve had! Stronger ties and renewed energy defined 2024 as we watched our network grow and forge new and powerful connections.

In 2024, we welcomed 12 new broker members across Europe, the Middle East and the United States, expanding our global reach to some 600 locations in 24 countries – a remarkable milestone. We met in person in Portugal with our European FGP colleagues and in New York with industry peers to discuss the impact of NAR changes. We attended Forbes events in Bangkok, India, Croatia, Hamburg, Milan, Como, Venice, Monaco, Miami, West Palm Beach, New York City, Athens, Florence, Portugal, Beverly Hills and Costa Rica.

The year also brought its challenges, with regulatory change, policy shift and market volatility. But by leveraging the power of the Forbes Global Properties network – and our unique relationship with Forbes – you have leaned into our collective strengths to find new partners and clients. And, of course, to continue to deliver the listings that demonstrate our unparalleled access to the world’s most exceptional properties.

As we close out this year and plan for the next and beyond, I’m delighted to present some 2024 highlights that celebrate our mutual successes and reflect on a year of change, collaboration and creative thinking.

THE POWER OF OUR GLOBAL NETWORK

More members. More connections. An even stronger network.

Across the Forbes Global Properties network, brokers and agents have been working together to refer clients and reach new markets. More proof of the truly global power of our member-focused model.

“ Our listing was featured in various ways on the Forbes Global Properties platform. Slifer Smith & Frampton Vail Valley also featured the listing in their publication… The home hasn’t sold yet, but the exposure we’ve been able to get through these outlets has generated additional listings.”

– James Watts, Coastal Abode

“We’re currently partnering with the team at Elegran to gain a tranche of listings with a developer contact who has multiple branded new developments in the Miami area.”

– Aaron Fisk, The Keyes Company

“ We’ve seen increasing synergies between the NYC and Italian markets. Several Elegran agents have built strong relationships in Italy, notably through our collaboration with Building Heritage. Currently we’re working on exciting collaboration opportunities to list and sell property , including a vineyard in Tuscany. ”

Global Business Case Study

Expanding into the growing Asian market

“One area of business expansion we’re developing is through referrals from the expanding Asian market in the Tahoe-Reno area. Ming Poon, a standout member of our team, has been at the forefront of this expansion, leveraging his deep cultural understanding and language skills in Mandarin. He has established key relationships with buyers, sellers and agents, including out-ofstate connections, and we are actively fostering a referral connection with our Forbes-affiliated OKAY Group in Hong Kong.

Looking ahead, we expect this demographic to grow as more Chinese nationals immigrate to the U.S., particularly drawn to opportunities in tech and real estate. Tahoe, Truckee and Reno offer an appealing lifestyle for these buyers, many of whom are seeking second homes or investment properties for family use.

Ming Poon’s ability to connect both culturally and linguistically has made him a preferred agent for these clients, offering tailored services that resonate with their needs. His skill set uniquely positions him to serve clients seeking a deeper connection to Tahoe’s lifestyle, while also looking for valuable investment opportunities.”

“Between January and October 2024, members have been highlighted in the media within 171 articles, reaching an estimated international audience of over 43 billion.”

2024 ON FILM

There’s nothing like a powerful still image to arrest attention and enhance a message.

But film as a storytelling tool has the ability to engage more senses, and many members are including filmmaking as an essential element in their marketing and brand toolkits.

2024: the 60-second edit with Tracey Atkins Director, Private Property Global MD, Goldeneye Media

It was a busy year for Tracey and her production team as they criss-crossed the globe with their cameras and scripts. Here’s her 2024 report:

“We spent a lot of the year in Europe with our FGP colleagues: in Spain working with the team at Rimontgó, with FGP Swiss & Alps and with Portugal Forbes Global Properties.

In the UK, France and the US, we made films for clients outside of the network too. By the end of the year, I estimate we’ll have completed around 130.

I’m really keen to do more to get the network renowned for its great storytelling, through both Storied editorial as well as films.”

The year in Storied

In 2024, we launched our lifestyle magazine, Storied: Life & Style. Defined by high-quality journalism and a beautiful wide-screen design to deliver bi-monthly collections of 10 stories across architecture and design, gourmet and leisure, culture and locations.

The opportunity: Forbes Global Properties’ unique access to an international audience interested in the world of buying and selling (or just browsing) prestige real estate.

The creative response: lifestyle content that orbits the world of our audience, who travel, are curious and live beyond the ordinary.

CREATIVE THINKING

While AI dominated conversations in 2024, many of our members adopted creative approaches – with a bit of new technology in the mix – to drive performance and connect with buyers and sellers.

Wingadal | An Australian Icon Sydney, New South Wales, Australia Private Property Global launched a unique marketing teaser campaign, using cleverly edited film footage that did not reveal the property’s interiors, respecting the owner’s privacy and creating intense media interest.

“ We put around 30 agents through a Certified Coaching Program and have seen significant results from those agents. We also spent 3 to 4 months training for the new practice changes in the wake of the NAR settlement.”

- Billy Goldstein Village Properties

A softly, softly approach at Hawai’i Life

“Our Whisper Campaigns (direct to our own clients) have proven to successfully generate both sales and interest prior to listings going public. If and when the listing does go public, we’ve had extraordinary success getting quality press placements to help drive traffic.”

Next-level 3D tours from Keyes

“New technology initiatives very much center around AI and the interactive customer experience. We're reviewing a new initiative from one of our partners that’s focused on bringing 3D tours to a new level in the luxury space, allowing luxury stakeholders from around the world to come together in a single virtual location and see properties, converse in real time and drive the high-end real estate market.”

Lifestyle first at Coastal Abode

“We’ve continued to shift towards photography and videography focused on the lifestyle elements of the properties. We’ve noticed that marketing campaigns featuring more emphasis on personal elements have drawn more views and interactions than those that feature only a home. This is particularly valuable when marketing lifestyle communities – people want to find the right fit first from a community standpoint, and then focus on the house.”

Connecting through art at Rimontgó

“Art needs to be seen, paintings need walls to live on. What better way to bring art and real estate together than to stage an exhibition? Since late 2023, we’ve been hosting what we call La exposición infinita. Every four months, we show a new large-scale painting by one of Spain’s most compelling contemporary artists, Pep Girbent. Guests and clients connect at the openings, passersby can glimpse the artwork through the windows of our Valencia city-center office. It’s a strong, emotional way to engage with our community and to create a talking point.”

Villatura

Algarve, Portugal

Portugal Forbes Global Properties

“ Villatura is one of the most exquisite new-build properties in the exclusive Quinta do Lago resort. A meticulous execution of a masterful design vision.”

- Francisco Garcia

Portugal Forbes Global Properties

“Exposure plus experience sells real estate.”
